Project Associate at Management Sciences for Health (MSH)
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Associate is responsible for the following:
- Provide
grant administration support in coordination with the Project Lead and MSH
home office team, for the development, implementation, monitoring, and
evaluation of activities. Maintain regular communication with grant
recipient countries and supporting reporting deadlines.
- Supports
the implementation of program activities by providing secretarial tasks,
including scheduling meetings and organizing in-person events; organizing
international travel and local transport; maintaining project files, and
paperwork preparation (copying, filing and scanning of documentation);
procurement of goods and services support; and financial duties support to
assist with maintaining efficient office operations.
- Point
of contact for project staff and consultants requiring administrative
support.
- Understands
and adheres to MSH policies and procedures including procurement integrity
and may be required to participate in procurement activities.
- Supports
other MSH projects and internal operations units and contributes to
business development activities.
- Safeguard
MSH’s reputation by ensuring that financial, contractual, technical, and
political integrity is maintained and strengthened.
- Any
other tasks assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s
degree and/or equivalent relevant experience (public health,
administration, or a related discipline preferred).
- Minimum
of 3 years of progressively responsible related experience in grant
management, finance and administration or program management
- Strong
ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and
in writing. French language skills a plus.
- Excellent
computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet research)
- Currently
remote work environment with in-person meetings.
- Travel
up to 20% of the time as needed.
- Tact
and ability to work effectively with others at all levels, both internally
and externally. Previous experience engaging with government ministries a
plus.
- Ability
to work under limited direction and ability to anticipate upcoming
challenges.
- Demonstrated
sound judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive
matters.
- Prior
experience supporting similar or larger international donor-funded
projects, a plus.
- Demonstrated
organization, planning, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Able
to work independently by managing priorities and workload within general
schedule of work, instructions and standardized practices
- Ability
to multitask and organize ongoing projects, looking for ways to become
more efficient in completing tasks

Overall Responsibilities

implementation of an interoperable, open-source Climate-Informed Early Warning
System (CI-EWS) platform mainly based on existing systems. The successful

middle-income countries (LMICs), with a special focus on scalable, sustainable,
and standards-based approaches.

is accountable for project deliverables and results, with accountability and
authority for the development, execution, and monitoring of the project,
including vision and technical strategy; project management; documentation and
communication; and client relationships.
