Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will sit at the heart of Chancen
International’s FP&A function, supporting the integrity, accuracy, and
strategic value of our financial models, reports, and planning processes.
Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role
is designed for a detail-oriented, analytically strong professional who can
independently build and own financial models, drive reporting quality, and
contribute meaningfully to portfolio and fund-level decision-making.
The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Tech,
Operations, Credit, and Programme teams to ensure financial data flows are
accurate, models are robust, and reporting outputs are actionable for EXCO,
Board, and investor audiences. The successful candidate is expected to
independently own and deliver financial models at both the Fund Manager and
Group level within their first year — a core deliverable that directly supports
investor reporting and capital deployment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Modelling
- Build,
maintain, and refine financial models covering ISA portfolio performance,
fund-level economics, and Group-level consolidations
- Develop
and own scenario-based models assessing the impact of key variables,
deployment timing, repayment rates, FX movements, and salary growth — on
portfolio and company financial performance
- Support
financial feasibility assessments for new Business Development
initiatives, including IRR, NPV, and FX sensitivity analysis
- Contribute
to impairment calculations and ECL estimation processes across all
operating markets
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Track
budget vs. actuals across departments and countries — providing structured
variance analysis with clear commentary
- Support
financial planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting cycles — including
multi-scenario planning
- Assist
in preparing financial inputs for EXCO, Board, and investor reporting
cycles
- Contribute
to the 2027 Strategic Annual Plan with scenario overviews covering
deployment timing, tranche mix, and FX impact
Reporting & Data Management
- Build
and maintain integrated financial reports using internal datasets,
ensuring complete, timely, and actionable outputs for key stakeholders
- Review
existing reports and enhance structure, clarity, and utility for
decision-making
- Collaborate
cross-functionally with Operations, Credit, and Programme teams to
integrate data inputs for unified reporting
- Utilize
the Data Warehouse as the primary data source for all financial reporting
— ensuring alignment, consistency, and data accuracy
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Assist
in automating repetitive financial tasks and improving data flow between
systems
- Document
key FP&A processes such as ISA calculations, impairment methodology,
and reporting workflows
- Identify
and implement opportunities to improve reporting quality, internal
controls, and process efficiency

to the team’s SOP and Runbook library across core FP&A functions
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Accounting,
or a related field
- Professional
certification (CFA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage
Technical Skills, Competencies & Experience
- 3–6
years of experience in a financial analysis, FP&A, investment
analysis, or financial modelling role
- Demonstrated
ability to independently build complex financial models, including
3-statement models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) from scratch; this
is non-negotiable
- Advanced
proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets — non-negotiable
- Familiarity
with Power BI, Looker, or Python is an advantage
- Strong
understanding of financial reporting frameworks, modelling principles, and

- Exposure

Partnership Associate at Chancen International
Job Summary:
The Partnerships Associate will support the management of
Chancen Kenya’s portfolio of partner educational institutions (PEIs). You will
be responsible for key aspects of the partnerships’ management, ensuring the
integrity and sustainability of our ISA investments. This role requires a
professional who can engage partners, analyze data to uncover opportunities,
and contribute proactively to the strategic goals of the department, operating
with a high degree of independence.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Management
- Support
the Partnership Manager in building and nurturing strong, long-term
relationships with current partners, ensuring their needs are met and
identifying new opportunities.
- Assist
in the development, formalization, and management of partnership
agreements and contracts.
- Contribute
to the continuous evaluation of existing partnerships to ensure alignment
with Chancen’s vision and strategic objectives.

structured engagement plans for each PEI, outlining monthly &

session before any disbursements are made to the PEI.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- A
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration ,Social Sciences , Project
management, International Development, Marketing, or a related field.

years of proven experience in a partnerships, business development, data
analysis, or project management role. Experience in the education sector,

Job Purpose
The Repayments Associate is responsible for managing
end-to-end collections and compliance for a designated portfolio of Chancen
Members under the Income Share Agreement (ISA) model. The role ensures high
repayment performance, maintains Portfolio at Risk (PAR) below 3%, and drives
early-stage intervention through structured advisory and data-driven risk
identification.
Key Responsibilities:
Debt Recovery & Transition Management
Be responsible for implementing the process of transitioning
active (students) Chancen Members allocated to you to the collections phase,
which includes but is not limited to the following:
- Manage
the transition of members from training to repayment phase through
structured pre-graduation engagement.
- Maintain
accurate trackers for graduation timelines and repayment start dates.
- Coordinate
with Operations and Member Affairs teams to ensure readiness for
pre-graduation sessions.

Main Responsibilities:
The Intern’s role will be to support the Student Application
& Monitoring team by:
- Supporting
outreach activities including but not limited to tertiary education
institution visits, Information and Pre-graduation sessions with students
among others.
- Supporting
the Student Application & Monitoring Manager and the CHANCEN team in
administrative activities.
- Support
the Student Application & Monitoring in assessing the accuracy of the
data collected from students’ applications during the onboarding process.
