Quality Officer – AMO
Overview
The Quality Officer ensures that operational standards for
the fleet and maintenance practices align with approved procedures and
regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
Quality Officer Responsibilities:
- Ensure
the operational standards of Seven Four Eight Air Services (K) Limited’s
fleet align with approved procedures.
- Liaise
with and oversee all contracted maintenance support organizations to
ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Ensure
correct application of the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) for the aircraft.
- Maintain
regular communication with the Head of Quality, AMO, and AOC to address
operational matters.
- Report
all significant operational issues to the Head of Quality(ies).
- Ensure
the implementation of recommendations and corrective actions from audit
reports.
- Prepare
and disseminate quality-related information as directed by the Head of
Quality(ies).
- Perform
tasks related to KCAA processes, including aircraft registration,
Certificates of Airworthiness (C of A), lease applications, and mandatory
reporting.
- Conduct
audits to assess regulatory compliance, company policies, and procedures,
and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
- Audit
ongoing documentation and activities within the AMO/AOC.
- Promote
awareness of the quality system to all staff through orientation for new
employees and regular training for current staff.
- Represent
the Head of Quality(ies) in forums or meetings when required.
- You
are expected to support the implementation of the Environmental Management
System (EMS) within your department and the company.
- Perform
other responsibilities as delegated by the Head of QSSE.
Education Required
- Bachelor’s
Degree or Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.
- KCSE
Mean score of C+ with minimum C+ in Mathematics, Physics and English.
- Proficiency
in office software and computer applications
- Holds
an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence Category A, C or Both
- Must
have undergone a QMS training from an approved ATO
Experience Required
- A
minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality department
- Experience
in Auditing
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical
skills and Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge
and Training in SMS is an added advantage
