Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide
outpatient diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for employees and guests.
- Administer
first aid and emergency medical care, and coordinate evacuation when
necessary.
- Monitor,
manage, and report notifiable diseases in compliance with Ministry of
Health guidelines.
- Maintain
accurate medical records in line with patient confidentiality and
reporting standards.
- Conduct
regular wellness checks for all staff, especially food handlers and those
in physically demanding roles.
- Lead
health awareness campaigns including hygiene, nutrition, sexual health,
and mental wellness.
- Support
staff reintegration post-sick leave with medical evaluations and
back-to-work plans.
- Recommend
ergonomic or duty modifications for medically restricted staff.
- Maintain
fully stocked and compliant medical supplies and first aid kits across the
camp.
- Develop
and periodically review camp emergency health protocols, including
outbreak response.
- Train
camp staff in basic first aid and CPR in collaboration with safety
officers.
- Ensure
the clinic operates in line with Kenyan medical and occupational health
regulations.
- Liaise
with local health authorities and public health officers when needed.
- Compile
and submit periodic health reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Offer
medical assistance to guests with minor ailments or injuries as needed.
- Provide
first-level medical support during guest excursions or bush activities.
- Maintain
professional relations with nearby health facilities for escalated care or
emergencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma
in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Registered
and licensed by the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
- Minimum
3 years’ post-licensure experience; experience in a hospitality setting
preferred.
