Patient Transfer and Attendance Staff at Chiromo Hospital Group

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Attendant. This role is critical in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients, and it includes responsibilities that require a valid driver’s license for patient transfers using hospital vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Patient care assistance:

  • Assist patients with daily activities, including feeding, grooming, and mobility, while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Monitor and report changes in patients’ behavior or condition to nursing staff.

Transportation of Patients:

  • Safely transport patients to appointments, therapy sessions, or other facilities using hospital vehicles.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for use.

Bed Making and room maintenance:

  • Prepare and maintain patient beds and living areas to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties as needed.

Support during therapeutic activities and out of the hospital procedures:

  • Accompany patients to recreational or therapeutic activities and out of the hospital procedures, providing support and supervision.

Patient observation & safety monitoring

  • Prevent unauthorized leave (elopement/absconding).
  • Intervene to reduce risks of self-harm or harm to others.
  • Document unusual behaviors or safety concerns for the clinical team.
  • Assist in restraining patients when necessary, following proper guidelines. 

Documentation:

  • Record patient interactions, vital signs, and incidents accurately and promptly.

Key Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • 2 years’ experience in a psychiatric hospital setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

Storekeeper at Chiromo Hospital Group

Job Purpose

The Kitchen Storekeeper is responsible for managing food supplies and kitchen inventory within the hospital. This includes receiving, storing, issuing, and monitoring food items and kitchen consumables while ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and hospital standards. The role supports uninterrupted meal service for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect all food deliveries, ensuring quality, quantity, and freshness meet required standards
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and supplier invoices
  • Store food items properly in dry stores, refrigerators, and freezers following food safety guidelines (FIFO/FEFO principles)
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all food items and kitchen supplies
  • Issue ingredients and supplies to kitchen staff as per requisitions
  • Monitor stock levels and inform management of shortages or reorder needs
  • Track expiry dates and ensure timely use or disposal of perishable items
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of storage areas in line with health regulations

Physician

We are seeking a qualified Specialist Physician—ideally in Internal Medicine or a related field—to work within our psychiatric hospital. Reporting to Clinical Services Manager and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll manage physical health conditions that often present alongside psychiatric care. The ideal candidate should have 6 months to 1 year of theatre experience, adding valuable skills to our integrated clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough medical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for admitted patients in a psychiatric setting.
  2. Support the psychiatric team by managing chronic illnesses, acute medical conditions, and overseeing perioperative care.
  3. Initiate and follow up on sonography and other diagnostic imaging referrals, integrating results into patient care.
