Mission Description
Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Operations Manager,
the successful applicant will be responsible for the following key result
areas: –
- Support
and review SOPs.
- Conduct
operational audits and institute continuous improvements (KAIZEN) and
preventive activities through the project.
- Identify
operational and QHSE training needs and facilitate delivery of the
training.
- Ensure
a secure, safe and healthy working environment during the course of the
project whilst monitoring activities to avoid environmental pollution.
- Conduct
tool box meetings with the teams on safety matters among others
- Ensure
centralized documentation and report all incidents and accidents lead the
root-cause analysis process and implement corrective and preventive
measures.
- Ensure
QHSSE and business ethics compliance as per the SOP’s and regulatory
requirements.
- Prepare
and submit reports to the GLC Operations Manager and Group Reporting as
per policy.
- Establish
and implement emergency response procedures and evaluation plans and
ensure all personnel are aware of the plans, procedures and assembly
point.
- Ensure
that appropriate personal protective equipment are available, in good
condition, and sufficient for all employees.
- Induct
all new employees and contractors on site on all health, safety and
environmental policy and regulations to ensure their safety.
- Raise
requisition for QHSSE supplies to facilitate operations.
- Investigate
accidents and incidents and take counter measure, identify the root cause,
corrective and preventive actions and report the same to the relevant
teams in real time.
Profile
- Bachelors
degree in Science related Field.
- Working
knowledge of Management Systems eg QMS ISO 9001, EMS ISO 14001 and OHSAS
18001.
- NEBOSH
certification will be an added advantage
Payable Accounting at AGL- Africa Global Logistics
Mission Description
- The
Payables Accountant is responsible for managing the accounts payable
function by ensuring accurate invoice verification, timely supplier
payments, proper reconciliation of accounts, and compliance with company
policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice
Processing & Verification
- Receive,
verify, and process supplier invoices for accuracy, completeness, and
compliance with internal policies.
- Code
and post invoices into the accounting system in line with company
procedures.
- Route
invoices to appropriate Heads of Departments (HoDs) for approval and
follow up on outstanding approvals.
- Payments
& Reconciliation
- Prepare
payment runs (checks, bank transfers, electronic payments) in line with
approved timelines.
- Reconcile
supplier statements against company records, resolve discrepancies, and
maintain up-to-date creditor ledgers.
- Monitor
and track operational charges, ensuring proper allocation and timely
submission for payment.
- Supplier
Relations
- Act as
the main point of contact for supplier payment queries.
- Manage
disputed invoices by liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve
issues.
- Build
strong supplier relationships to support uninterrupted supply of goods and
services.
- Compliance
& Reporting
- Ensure
compliance with statutory requirements (eg, VAT, withholding tax) and
internal controls in all accounts payable processes.
- Support
monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing through timely
reporting and reconciliations.

Pre Delivery Inspection Technician at AGL- Africa Global Logistics
Mission Description
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the candidate will be
responsible for:-
- Carrying
out receipt and inspection of motor vehicles and report any
defect/damages/missing items immediately
- Inspect
motor vehicles as per the Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) Standard Operating
Procedure
- Report
any defect/damages as per the PDI standards.
- Diagnose
mechanical problems and service the motor vehicles as per manuals.
- Install
parts & accessories as per specification.
- Perform
road tests for inspected vehicles as per SOP.
- Complete
PDI inspection sheets/reports and submit as per file management SOP.
- Ensure
no vehicle is released from PDI without 100% ok PDI
- Clean,
repair and maintain workshop tools & equipment

International Freight Forwarding Operator – Declaration M/F at AGL- Africa Global Logistics
Mission Description
Reporting to the Manager – Airfreight Imports Operations,
the preferred candidate will be responsible for the below key result areas: –
- Ensure
all the necessary documents required to make entries are in order.
- Lodge
accurate Customs entries in the KRA system, ensure a set of the local COC
processing is shared with the supervisor.
- Support
Supervisor with all taxes/fee computation inquiries including eg KEBS,
Port health, radiation etc.
- Constantly
check in Tradex/ICMS to confirm any passing & KENTRADE or rejection of
entries, respond to Customs messages pertaining to any queries raised
regarding the same through TRADEX.
- Ensure
customs files have all the necessary attachments, ensure KEBS consignment
documents are complete and a set to obtain local COC is shared with the
supervisor or PORT operation team in real time.
- Support
the supervisor on inquiries regarding documents, Customs duties, Customs
requirements and regulations.
- Handle
Customs queries in liaison with the supervisor.
- Lodge
accurate IDF’s in the KRA ICMS system.
- Lodge
PGA regulatory import permits & other consignment documents in
TFP-KenTrade system.
Profile
- Diploma

- EACFFP
Certificate
- ICMS

Operations Manager at AGL- Africa Global Logistics
Mission Description
Based in Nairobi and reporting to the General Manager, the
candidate will be responsible for Organizing and leading the sustainable and
profitable execution of ANT operations. Specific deliverables will be to:-
- Lead
the assigned operations team-Manage the teams responsible for the
operations as assigned.
- Build
the operational organization, the expertise, the means and ensure the
standard operations processes are in place to deliver the desired
services.
- Plan
the efficient delivery of operational input to the clearance and handling
of all orders for assigned customers.
- Coordinate
the actions of the various ANT operators in order to achieve efficient
delivery of assigned shipments.
- Monitor
the quality of service provided to the Clients (internal as well as
external) and take appropriate action to achieve the service and report
accurately daily, weekly, monthly.

Human Resources and Administration Officer M/F
Based in Nairobi and reporting to the HR Manager-Nairobi,
the role exits to provide HR and administrative support to the ANT team with
specific deliverables as:-
- Participate
in the recruitment & selection process by drafting adverts, preparing
a candidate shortlist for interviews, preparing requests for employment
documents with relevant attachments, call selected candidates to sign the
offer letter and discuss start dates.
- Monitor
induction of new staff, process staff badges, manage probations,
confirmation and assist with following up on outstanding documents both
from employee and HOD end.
REAL ESTATE PROJECT MANAGER M/F
AGL Kenya is looking for a real estate Project Manager on
site for the Nairobi HQ renovation and extension works.
The Project Manager is the Company’s representative on site
and leads the management of the project. He is the point of contact and
interaction for the overall project for the Consultant, the Contractor and its
subcontractors. The position requires strong technical and communication
skills. Due to the time constraint and the interaction with other contractors
on site, his duty is to make sure that the project remains on track and he must
alert in case some deviation is observed. He/She also has to ensure that all
the interfaces between work packages are well understood by all parties. He
will be responsible for the execution of the work according to HSE and CSR
rules. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing internal and
external stakeholder relationship that matters to the project. The project
leader will have to manage the contractual, financial and legal, or related,
subjects.
