Internal Audit Intern
The Internal Audit Intern will report to the Internal
Auditor. The main roles include supporting the Internal Audit team in assessing
internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with the company
policies and regulatory requirements. The role provides hands-on exposure to
audit planning, execution, and reporting, while helping to collect and analyze
financial and operational data to inform decision-making. The internship aims
to develop practical audit skills, analytical capabilities, and professional
understanding of internal audit practices within a financial or microfinance
environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist
the Audit team in planning for audit assignments
- Assist
in testing and documenting internal controls for key business processes.
- Perform
data collection and basic data analysis to support audit testing and
findings
- Assist
in preparation of working papers that document audit evidence,
observations, conclusions, and relevant recommendations.
- Help
in identifying and documenting audit observations and recommendations for
improvement.
- Participate
in risk assessments and process walkthroughs.
- Conduct
research and analysis to support audit findings and recommendations.
- Prepare
narrative walkthroughs and flowcharts for processes and controls.
- Support
in verifying the existence and proper use and safeguarding of company
assets.
- Participate
in investigations of suspected irregularities or non-compliance as
assigned.
- Support
team members in various administrative and audit support activities as
needed.
- Engage
in on-the-job training and mentorship to gain practical experience in
internal auditing practice and standards.
- Perform
any other tasks as may be assigned by the Internal Audit Manager or team
supervisors in support of departmental objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s
Degree (or final-year student) in Accounting, Finance, Business
Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional
coursework or partial qualifications in CPA, ACCA, or CIA are an added
advantage.
- Basic
knowledge of internal audit principles, risk management, and internal
control frameworks.

Head of People & Culture, VisionFund Kenya at World Vision Kenya
The Head of People & Culture is responsible
for all aspects of the human resource function within the VisionFund Kenya
Office. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position is responsible
primarily for P&C Strategy, staffing, recruiting, retention, performance
management, employee relations, compensation, compliance, individual
development and succession planning. The incumbent ensures that HR initiatives
are aligned with VFK’s mission, values and long-term business strategy, and
that they support the evolving HR needs of the business. The overall objective
of the position is to support the development and retention of a
high-performance work force and a learning culture
Key Responsibilities
(20%) P&C strategy – Ensure that P&C
Strategy is developed & implemented in all areas of the organization and in
compliance with VF Kenya & VFI standards.
- Provides
strategic People support and advice on Human Resources issues
- Updates
the employee handbook on a per need basis, and ensures that all revision
and addition to the policies are written in the employee handbook; Informs
all concerned staff the changes entered into the employee handbook;
- Ensures
that good insurance covers for staff are in place that will be of benefit
to the organization
- All
Policies are updated as required quarterly present to board P & C
matter
- Recommend
employees recognition activities to honour individual milestones and
achievements
(10%) Manpower planning & Budgets
- Contributes
and advises in senior management strategic planning, with particular
responsibility for HR needs, policies and procedures;
- Prepares
and submits annual budget and plan for the approval of the SMT
- Aligns
with SMT on manpower planning
(15%) Recruitment and Onboarding
- Develops
letters of appointment, transfer, promotion, and the like; and sends to
the concerned staff after approval;
- Conducts
“due diligence” or the “fit and proper” test to assess the job applicant’s
background and character;
- Ensures
that VF Kenya maintains a standardized and systematic hiring and
recruitment process; develops or updates hiring policies and procedures
most appropriate to individual positions;
- Coordinates
all recruitment for VF Kenya: reviews staff requisitions, supervises the
hiring and contractual process, and arranges for the new employee’s
orientation with the immediate supervisor
(10%) Compensation & Rewards
- Reviews
the benefits scheme (compensation, incentives, and other benefits) on an
annual basis; ensures that it is properly administered in accordance with
the employee handbook, and if necessary, recommends to the CEO the renewal
of the scheme;
- Conducts
consultations with department heads to determine performance indicators
and benchmarks per position;
- Periodically
carries out salaries and benefits surveys for the review process in order
to develop and maintain a competitive compensation package and incentive
schemes for staff.

and monitor staff performance appraisals is done on a regular basis; in

Advisor, Global Accountability at World Vision Kenya
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as an SME, overseeing the maintenance and
implementation of the Programme Accountability Framework (PAF) across WV
entities and teams.
- Provide
technical leadership on how World Vision is accountable to children and
communities through oversight of the PAF (overseeing updates when
required) and influencing with WV to enhance a culture/enabling
environment that values and support this.
- Collaborate
with others to ensure the PAF is embedded in our programming approaches,
consistently implemented and capability built.
- Implement
and support monitoring of the PAF adherence and implementation in
coordination with the Global Compliance team, aligning and tools and
approaches where possible.
- Work
with the Social Accountability function to provide guidance on how WV’s
own accountability can be practiced in ways that enhance the
implementation, and impact, of our social accountability programming.
Act as a policy delegate for key Partnership level
policies and standards, including:
- The
Partnership Policy on International NGO Commitments and Accountability
Mechanisms and Open information policies.
- Management
procedures for joining or leaving global commitments and standards
- Ensure
effective implementation with, compliance with, across WV entities
Track external stakeholder expectations and commitments in
regard to WV’s reporting of accountability practices and lead the annual update
of the WVI Accountability Report with relevant teams to contribute products
that will build trust in WV (e.g. Accountability Reports and publishing details
on our investments in alignment with the International Aid Transparency
Initiative)
- In
coordination with the Director, lead the updating and production of the
annual Accountability report with a variety of GC level stakeholders,
ensuring the report discloses appropriate levels of information to meet
external stakeholders’ expectations, while protecting WV’s reputation.
- Monitor
expectations of INGO disclosure around their stewardship of resources and
management of risks related to unintended, negative impacts. This includes
representing World Vision’s interest in industry accountability bodies
like Accountable Now, or others as requested by the Director
- Strengthening
Organizational Accountability and Transparency practices, procedures and
structures
- Equip
World Vision with a mechanism for capturing, tracking, and communicating
commitments made to external accountability mechanisms (e.g. Global

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education, training, license,

Required Professional Experience
- 7+
years of experience working in the field of accountability and
transparency, or related disciplines.
- Ability
to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group

- In
depth understanding of emerging accountability and governance issues,
trends, and challenges relevant to the International NGO sector.
- Demonstrated
ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in a wide range of

non-profit sector and to manage multiple stakeholders and cross functional
project groups or teams.
- Understanding
of the regulatory environment for not-for-profit organizations, especially

Senior Manager, Impact Communications at World Vision Kenya
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Global Director, Corporate Communications,
this senior manager oversees a team working to raise World Vision’s brand—via
media relations, on digital channels, and at key events—as an industry leader
whose best-practice and life-changing programming brings about life in all its
fullness for vulnerable children in the most challenging contexts.
The senior manager has a dual role: to themselves promote
World Vision’s field impact, policy calls and technical expertise across our
core sectors and key ministries to key grant donors, policy-makers and other
institutional audiences; while also ensuring team members are doing the same.
Collating and monitoring all metrics related to the work of their team the
Senior Manager will also ensure the team’s goals and objectives are dovetailed
into and in support of priority Global Centre and Partnership strategies.

range of countries and cultures.
- Exceptional
command of written English, grammar, syntax, and style. With the proven
ability to edit complex, technical, or sensitive content into accessible

Security Officer – ELEVATE Project (Local Residents of Mandera County encouraged to apply)
Job Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
- Develop
and implement the project area security and safety response plan in
alignment with WV security policy so as to ensure the operational
priorities of the project area are appropriately supported.
- Ensure
Security Risk Assessments, Country Risk Ratings and Core Security
Requirement standards, processes and procedures for the project area are
completed in accordance with the current Office of Security, Safety and
Resilience (SSR) guidelines and training.
Security Operations
- Lead
all security and safety operations within the project area.
- Work
with the Roving Field Security Officer (RFSO) to carry out Security Risk
Assessments as required/directed.
- Country
Risk Ratings for the project area are established and updated as required
- Ensure
Core Security Requirements for the project area are implemented in line

input and support to management in crisis situations and critical

Capacity Building and Technical Training

Reporting and Documentation

Project Officer – Health (Global Fund Project) Shortlisting on a rolling basis
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Project implementation
- Plan
for the implementation of activities including interpretation of budget,
preparing procurement plans, engaged in the procurement process and
following the donor and WVK financial accounting policy/requirement.
- Ensure
project implementation is aligned with the project’s goals and objectives
and is within the stipulated timeframe and targets.
- Conduct
regular field visits, provide supportive supervision, mentorship, monitor
project activities and provide technical support in accordance with the
project implementation guidelines & National TB guidelines.
- Support
the implementation of TB prevention, case detection and treatment programs
in alignment with Global Fund guidelines.

to strengthen local capacity for TB management and community
