building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product
experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join
our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product
Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.
As an Interaction Designer, you’ll apply user-centered design methods to craft
industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with
design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful,
innovative products.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate
cross-functionally and cross-team to support multidimensional pieces of
work across games experiences.
- Deliver
on a high standard for craft and excellence through the use of
user-centered principles, methods, and tools, paying close attention to
the tapestry of design systems and patterns across the broader games
product landscape.
- Prioritize
work while managing stakeholder relationships and expectations across a
range of work streams on a range of trajectories and velocities.
- Contribute
to an environment where every team member feels supported and comfortable
being their authentic self.
- Build
strong relationships with peers and leaders inside and outside of the team
to drive user experiences that are cohesive and well-informed
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6
years of conversation design experience in product design or UX design.
- Include

Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s
degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related
field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3
years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.

working on consumer products at scale, in the games industry or designed
for games.
Associate Product Marketing Manager at Google
About the job
Whether you’re on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search,
Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google
Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing
experience as you lead every facet of the product’s journey. From determining
positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external
communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base.
This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications,
legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role,
you’ll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As an APMM (Associate Product Marketing Manager), you will
be part of a two year, cohort based, development program. During your time in
the program, you will work on priority marketing projects in your organization
to develop a breadth of marketing skills, join a strong community of peers and
alumni, and be supported by dedicated mentors and senior leaders. In addition
to your core work, you are expected to complete learning and development
milestones, attend APMM programming, and actively contribute to the APMM
community.
You will be assigned projects within the Marketing
organization supporting their business goals and you’ll make direct
contributions under the scope of a larger project, with general guidance. For
example, you may help bring the voice of the user into the product development
process and/or develop the go-to-market plans for driving awareness and
adoption for new products and features among target segments. You may drive
growth marketing and optimization, contribute to Google’s brand strategy,
generate user insights, and/or manage campaigns and programming.
Responsibilities
- Assist
in defining and executing go-to-market strategies and campaigns for new
product or feature launches and measure efficacy against key KPIs.
- Assist
in developing programs aimed at acquiring customers (including business
strategies, messaging, collateral, events), increasing our engagement with
them, and measuring the efficacy of such programs.
- Support
the team in evaluating product and feature improvements to better meet
user needs, product readiness for launch, and communicate new developments
to users.
- Assist
in developing client and executive narratives and presentations, case
studies, and content designed to accelerate the business momentum to
better engage Google’s customers and agency partners.
- Assist
in executing marketing related tasks within the scope of a larger product
or project, under guidance from the manager.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience
in marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, marketing agency, or
a related field through full time roles, internships, projects, or
academic classes.
- Ability
to communicate in English and any African language fluently in order to
work with stakeholders in Sub-Saharan Africa region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowlede
of and passion for Google’s products, technology, and leadership in the
Artificial Intelligence (AI) space.
- Demonstrated
global mindset and ability to think across disciplines, industries,
cultures, and scenarios.
- Excellent
program management and communication skills with an interest in marketing,
brand management, strategy consulting, agency, AI, technology, or related
fields.
- Demonstrated
analytical success, with capacity for developing and understanding
strategy.
- Comfort
with ambiguity and agility.
