Faith and Development Intern
Job Description:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
Coordinate Staff Spiritual Formation Activities
- Help
develop and coordinate the chapel program activities
- Facilitate
the equipping of small group leaders for effective staff formation
sessions through small groups.
- Facilitate
availability of relevant Spiritual formation materials being careful to
include areas of peace, protection, and opportunity that will influence
Faith and Development
- Brainstorm,
plan, and roll out relevant topics and areas of focus on spiritual focus
that should be engaged to staff
- Review
and analyze the relevance and value add of the materials provided to staff
and how they have been utilized
- Attend
Chapel Committee meetings
- Help
in planning Day of Prayer for East Africa Office
- Be the
point person on prayer updates of the Region
Program Integration
- Help
in organizing staff training for Faith and Development models such as
Empowered World View.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Administrative
support to Regional Faith and Development Senior Technical Advisor and
SPDQ Director.
- Coordinate
and provide logistical support for F&D Regional Forums and
meetings
- Provide
support for travel bookings and logistics
- Coordinate
and consolidate team inputs for monthly and quarterly reports
Thought Leadership & Publications in area of
expertise
- Populate,
provide and develop bible study guides to be used in small groups
throughout the FY
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
- Must
be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
Spiritual maturity; clear articulation of personal faith in Christ about
how their faith informs their life and work. Possesses biblical
acuity
- Demonstrates
well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both
verbal and written, as well as negotiation skills
- Experience
in developing devotional materials.
- Must
adhere to set security standards
- Excellent
English language skills; written and verbal.
- Demonstrated
writing skills and working with excel spreadsheets.
- Innovative
and the ability to think outside of the box.
- Team
player; the ability to work as part of a diverse team to achieve the
overall goal
Required Education, training, license, registration, and
certification
- Educational
level required Bachelor Degree, preferably in Bible and
Theology, Christian Education or Christian Ministry
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Knowledge of denominational aspects and other faith core
beliefs.
