Quality Assurance Manager at Globeleq
Main Purpose of Role
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for
establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS)
for the Menengai Geothermal Plant during commissioning, COD transition, and the
operational phase.
This role ensures that all plant operations, maintenance,
and services meet:

- PPA
and PISSA requirements
- EPC
Contract and Long-Term Spare Agreement (LTSA) quality provisions
- Kenyan
statutory and regulatory standards

Key Result Areas
Mobilisation Period (Pre-Commercial Operations Date)
- Oversee
quality compliance during commissioning, performance testing, and
reliability run.
- Ensure
test procedures align with PPA, EPC Contract, and OEM standards.
- Review
commissioning documentation including:
- ITPs
(Inspection & Test Plans)
- FAT/SAT
documentation
- Performance
test reports
- Reliability
run documentation
- Verify
punch list close-out prior to Completion until the end of the Defect
Notification Period under the EPC Contract.
- Ensure
all as-built documentation is complete before handover to operations and
maintenance.

Operational and Maintenance Period (Post COD)
Management of Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop
and implement technical assurance frameworks for critical plant assets
(turbines, generators, transformers, BOP systems).
- Develop,
implement, and maintain the Plant Quality Management System aligned to ISO
9001.
- Establish
plant quality policy, vision, values, objectives, and KPIs.
- Develop
and control standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and
quality plans.
- Ensure
effective document control and record management systems.
- Lead
internal quality audits and coordinate external audits.
- Manage
non-conformance reporting (NCR) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support
plant performance optimization and loss reduction initiatives.
- Develop
weekly, monthly, and annual quality plans in coordination with the
Operations and Maintenance teams
- Ensure
proper functioning of the IFS system during operations.
Regulatory & Contractual Compliance

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s

9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
- Membership

Site Office Administrator at Globeleq
Main Purpose of Role
The Site Office Administrator is responsible for ensuring
the efficient and professional operation of the Menengai Site Office and
providing administrative, logistical, and facilities support to the Globeleq
O&M Team during mobilisation and operational and maintenance phase of the
power plant.
Key Result Areas
Office and Facilities Management
- Receive,
register, and manage visitors to the Menengai site office.
- Support
procurement activities including vendor sourcing and administrative
coordination.
- Manage
procurement and inventory of office, kitchen, and consumable supplies.
- Ensure
compliance with applicable Health & Safety regulations, permits, and
site procedures.
- Prepare
meeting rooms and ensure proper setup and clearance after meetings.
- Coordinate
collection and delivery of site office documents and materials.

site office security in accordance with established procedures.
- Liaise
with external service providers to ensure:

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s

Experience:

industrial, construction, or power plant environment.

Electrical Intern at Globeleq
Main Purpose of Role
The Electrical Intern will support preventive, predictive,
and corrective maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment at the
Menengai Geothermal Power Plant.
Working under the supervision of the Electrical Engineer,
the Intern will gain practical exposure to generators, transformers, switchgear
(LV, MV, HV), protection systems, motors, UPS systems, battery systems, and
auxiliary plant equipment. The role contributes to maintaining high plant
availability, minimizing parasitic load, ensuring equipment reliability, and
maintaining full compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
The Intern will operate within Globeleq’s HSESS framework
and in compliance with PPA, PISSA, LTSA, and O&M contractual requirements.
Under supervision, the Intern shall support the following:
- Preventive
& Predictive Maintenance
- Assist
in execution of scheduled preventive maintenance on generators,
transformers, motors, switchgear (LV/MV/HV), UPS systems, and battery
systems.
- Support
condition monitoring activities including insulation resistance testing,
thermography, and basic trend analysis.

in planned maintenance tasks during minor and major outages.

Instrumentation and Control Intern at Globeleq
Main Purpose of Role
The Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Intern will
support installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
of plant instrumentation, Distributed Control System (DCS), protection systems,
and associated control equipment within the Menengai Geothermal Power Plant.
The role provides structured hands-on exposure during both
the construction/commissioning phase and the transition into operations. The
Intern will work under the supervision of the Instrumentation and Control
Engineer and in accordance with Globeleq’s HSESS framework, as well as EPC,
PISSA, PPA, LTSA, and O&M requirements.
This internship is designed to build practical competence in
geothermal power plant automation and control systems while contributing to
plant safety, availability, and operational performance.
Under supervision, the Intern shall support the following
activities:
Installation & Commissioning
- Assist
in installation and configuration of instrumentation devices (pressure,
temperature, level, flow transmitters, analysers, sensors, gauges, etc.).
- Participate
in loop checks and tests, signal validation, and functional testing of
control systems.
- Support
DCS hardware and software configuration activities.
- Assist
in generator protection system and switchgear control system testing.
Maintenance & Overhaul Support
- Participate
in minor and major overhauls where applicable.

planned preventive maintenance of DCS, instrumentation, and control
