Environment and Social Governance (ESG) Intern at Globeleq
Globeleq is now seeking to recruit an ESG Intern to
be based at our Malindi Solar Power Plant in Langobaya, Malindi
Subcounty.
This is a 12-month internship running from 2nd January
to 31st December 2026.
Job Description
- You
will be employed by Globeleq in the capacity of ESG Intern and you will
report to the Social Manager and HSE Officer or to any other person
appointed to supervise you from time to time.
- You
will to the best of your ability undertake any reasonable duties or tasks
that are necessary for the proper performance of the job. You shall use
your utmost endeavours to promote the interests of Globeleq and any Group
Company.
- You
may also be required to undertake other duties from time to time which are
reasonably requested of you, and which are within your capability without
any additional remuneration.
- You
shall always comply with any measures adopted by Globeleq or any Group
Company from time to time to prevent bribery and corruption and/or the
criminal facilitation of tax evasion, in addition to any applicable laws
regarding anti-bribery and corruption.
- You
shall use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that no person acting on
behalf of Globeleq, or any Group Company commits any act of bribery within
the meaning of the Bribery Act 2016 or criminally facilitates tax evasion
within the meaning of the Income Tax Act of Kenya or any equivalent
applicable law.
Requirements
The candidate:
- Should
possess a degree or diploma in Community Development or Social
Studies with Health and Safety related field from a recognized
institution.
- Should
have finished and graduated from his/her course within the last three
years (2023–2025).
- Should
have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Should
have good knowledge of MS Office software.
- Should
have the ability to work in a team with minimal supervision.
- Should
have strong interpersonal skills.
- Should
possess good work ethic with attention to details, and analytical skills.
- Should
have a valid police clearance certificate.
