The Capital Markets Authority is a statutory agency charged
with the responsibility of regulating and developing an efficient capital
market in Kenya. The Authority invites applications for the following position
Temporary Assistant – Administration at Capital Markets Authority (CMA)
TEMPORARY ASSISTANT – ADMINISTRATION
Reporting to the Senior Administrative Officer and will be
responsible for providing support in the Administration function.
Contract Period: Six (6) Months Fixed Term Contract
Key responsibilities for the position:
- Undertake
implementation of administration policies and procedures;
- Handle
day-to-day running of the general insurance covers;
- Participate
in the preparation of applicable monthly, quarterly and annual reports;
- Monitoring
of outsourced services;
- Undertake
monitoring of cleaning services to ensure a clean and safe work
environment;
- Undertake
monitoring of outsourced services such as mail delivery, transport and
reception services;
- Handling
of staff transport requests;
- Undertake
implementation occupational Safety and Health compliance requirements;
- Coordinate
provision of utility services in the office; and
- Provide
required administrative support to staff as and when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Business Administration, Business and Office Management, or any
other discipline from a recognized institution.

TEMPORARY LEGAL ASSISTANT-ENFORCEMENT – 1 POSITION
Contract Period: Six (6) Months fixed term contract
Reporting to the Senior Manager Investigations and
Enforcement, the selected candidate will be responsible for;
- Maintaining
database of matters received with enforcement considerations;
- Liaise
with relationship managers of different licences to confirm position of
matters under enforcement;
- Preparing
communications with clients, market participants and stakeholders;
- Assisting
in arrangement and reporting on meetings with clients and various
stakeholders;
- Preliminary
review of investigation reports and preparing draft enforcement
recommendations;
- Assisting
in the Preparation of Notices to show cause and Infringement Notices for
review;
- Assisting
in reviewing enforcement recommendations, prepare opinions and recommend
appropriate actions; and
- Preparing
periodic enforcement reports to internal and external stakeholders as may
be required.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s
degree in Law
- Postgraduate
Diploma in Law / Advocate Training Program from the Kenya School of Law

TEMPORARY ASSISTANT RESEARCH & ANALYTICS –2 POSITIONS
Reporting to the Senior Manager Research and Analytics, the
role will be responsible for supporting the Research & Analytics Division
in providing support to research activities, including data collection,
retrieval and storage, relating but not limited to fundamental economic and
capital markets matters.
Contract Period: Six (6) Months Fixed Term Contract
The key responsibilities for the position.
- Developing
approaches, solutions and tools for data collection, analysis and
reporting;
- Mining
and analyzing data to inform current and future business trends and drive
strategic decision making;
- Identifying,
analysing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets to
generate actionable insights, support strategic decision making, inform
regulatory development, and provide evidence-based recommendations;
- Assessing
the effectiveness and accuracy of historical data, new data sources and
data gathering techniques;
- Preparing
and maintaining division and department metrics and related analytics and
reports;
- Help
facilitating the capturing of critical knowledge, best practices, and/or
lessons learned within the department/directorates;
- Leveraging
data visualization tools to communicate insights clearly to internal and
external stakeholders;
- Conducting
predictive or prescriptive analytics to model outcomes and support
strategic forecasting
- Collaborating
with external research institutions, consultants, and stakeholders on
thematic or in-depth, sector-based studies related to capital markets.
- Supporting
the integration of AI and machine learning tools into the Authority’s data
analytics frameworks;
- Facilitating
stakeholder engagements on research outputs to gather feedback, initiate
dialogue, and build consensus around key findings and recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Mathematics/Economics/Computer Science/Information Management or
Statistics

least K.C.S.E Grade of C minus or its equivalent.
