Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Officer Vacancy at Vermi-Farm Initiative
About the Role
This is an opportunity to shape the MEL function at a
growing organization. The MEL Officer will lead Vermi-Farm Initiative's
monitoring, evaluation, and learning work and help build a system that is
practical for field teams, useful for management decisions, and credible for
partners and funders.
The role combines systems-building, data quality, field
monitoring, analysis, reporting, and learning. The successful candidate will
help move from partly fragmented data practices toward a more structured and
scalable MEL system.
What You Will Do
- Build
and strengthen the MEL system: Design and roll out a practical
MEL framework, indicators, and tools that fit how Vermi-Farm operates and
can scale.
- Set
up and improve the farmer registry: Help establish a reliable
source of truth for farmer profiles, participation, service uptake, and
outcomes.
- Lead
routine monitoring and data quality: Coordinate data collection
across field teams and Village Champions, run data quality checks, and
support consistent tool use.
- Support
outcome measurement and learning: Analyze program results,
compare intervention patterns, and translate findings into practical
recommendations.
- Produce
reports and dashboards: Develop regular dashboards and reporting
packs for management, board review, and external reporting.
- Strengthen
farmer feedback: Create practical ways for farmers to share their
experience and ensure feedback informs program improvement.
