By Appointment Africa is recruiting a Financial Controller for a well-established group of companies based in Naivasha, Kenya.
This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced finance professional with strong expertise in financial accounting, reporting, internal controls and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency and high-quality reporting across the group.
Position: Financial Controller
Location: Naivasha, Kenya

Reporting to: Finance Director
What You’ll Do:
• Oversee all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, inventory, fixed assets and revenue recognition
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across the group
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies and financial processes
• Manage month-end close processes and balance sheet reviews
• Monitor and report on working capital performance to support strategic decision-making
• Lead engagement with auditors, tax advisors and key finance stakeholders
• Manage and develop a high-performing finance team
• Support leadership with financial insights for board and stakeholder reporting
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
• CPA (K) or ACCA qualification preferred
• Minimum 10 years’ finance experience, with at least 5 years in a similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, internal controls and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and integrity
