The role is responsible for translating the production plan into an executable schedule while ensuring raw and packaging materials are available to support uninterrupted operations.

A Day in the Life of a Nestlé DPS and Materials Planner:

Detailed Production Scheduling

  • Create a feasible production plan in daily buckets for finished goods based on the master production schedule. Ensure that the bulk plans are feasible and based on demonstrated capacity
  • Optimize production sequencing and capacity utilization.
  • Monitor plan execution and resolve production exceptions.

Materials Planning and Inventory Management_

  • Ensure availability of raw, imported bulk and packaging materials to satisfy production requirements.
  • Manage purchase orders, supplier follow-up and stock cover.
  • Manage inventory within targets while ensuring supply and minimizing redundancy.

Warehouse and Stakeholder Coordination_

  • Support warehouse compliance and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, suppliers and planners.
  • Support Supply Planner with preparation and hosting the Weekly Production Review

Position Summary:

A day in the life of a Replenishment Specialist:

 Replenishment Planning & Inventory Optimization

  • Utilize advanced forecasting and planning tools to develop optimal replenishment orders within Nestlé or customer VMI/CMI systems.
  • Balance service level, inventory targets, capacity constraints and customer delivery requirements. Monitor leading indicators such as system alerts, stock holding, and demand changes.

 Out‑of‑Stock (OOS) Risk Management

What to expect for the 2026 Nestlé USA Sales Internship:  

We offer a 10-week paid internship in the Nestlé Sales Organization. The Sales internship is an introduction to a career in sales and the partnerships with our major customer teams. Interns will develop their knowledge and understanding of the Consumer Products and Food industry, tackle relevant business challenges, develop selling skills, and inspire change for real processes and business needs. The experience requires collaboration with team members from across business divisions, networking with senior management, and participation in social engagements with interns from other programs.
