Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Execute
the Private Wealth growth strategy for Kenya and the wider East African
market.
- Establish
a scalable business development model that can support the long-term
growth of the Private Wealth practice. . Identify and develop new markets,
client segments, referral channels, partnerships and business
opportunities.
- Originate
and develop relationships with entrepreneurs, founders, high-net-worth
individuals, family businesses and affluent families.
- Develop
a strong pipeline of Private Wealth opportunities and take ownership of
the business development process from prospecting through to conversion.
- Lead
client conversations to understand their personal, family, business,
investment, succession and cross-border needs.
- Work
closely with Andersen’s Tax, Legal, Immigration and Advisory teams to
develop integrated solutions for private clients and families.
- Convert
client needs into commercially viable mandates and drive revenue growth.
- Build
Andersen’s profile and market positioning within the Private Wealth
ecosystem through events, thought leadership, networking and strategic
partnerships.
- Track
business development activity, pipeline, conversion and revenue
performance against agreed targets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, Accounting, Investment
Management or a related field.
- Solid
demonstrable professional experience in private wealth, wealth management,
private banking, family office, investment advisory, tax, legal or
professional services.
- Membership
in a relevant professional body and in good standing.
- Strong
commercial acumen and demonstrated business development capability.
- Strong
understanding of the financial, business and wealth-planning needs of
private clients.
- Proven
ability to develop relationships and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Excellent
communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management
skills.
- Ability
to work independently, take ownership and operate in an entrepreneurial
environment.
- Knowledge
of global markets, investment products and regulatory frameworks.

Tax & Legal Associate at Andersen Kenya
Tax & Legal Associate
Job Responsibilities
- Assist
in tax dispute resolution, including preparation of documentation and
support in representation before relevant appellate bodies
- Conduct
detailed legal, tax, and business research to support client engagements
and address client needs
- Support
the delivery and coordination of tax compliance and tax advisory services
in line with quality and regulatory standards
- Assist
clients in the management of revenue authority audits and related
engagements
- Liaise
with regulatory and government bodies, including Revenue Authorities,
Business Associations, and the National Treasury, on behalf of clients
- Participate
in tax health check engagements for medium and large clients
- Support
the development and delivery of tax- and business-related training
initiatives
- Assist
in identifying business development opportunities and support the
preparation of proposals and tenders
- Participate
in client meetings, collate information, and support the provision of tax
and legal advisory services
- Support
the preparation of reports, presentations, and other client deliverables
Basic Qualifications
- Advocate
of the High Court of Kenya
- Current
Member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) in good standing
- CPA
(K) qualification
- 2–3
years’ work experience in a professional services firm or tax advisory
environment
- Strong
ability to communicate complex legal and tax concepts clearly and
effectively to clients
- Excellent
time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage
multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated
flexibility and adaptability to evolving legal, regulatory, and client
requirements
- Strong
teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across
disciplines to deliver integrated advisory solutions
