Director of Youth Strategy and Digital Transformation (CFK Africa Headquarters, Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya)
The CFK Africa (CFK) Board of Directors and Executive
Director (ED) seek a mission-focused, seasoned, and process-minded leader to
serve as Director of Youth Strategy and Digital Transformation (DYSDI).
Reporting to the ED, the DYSDI serves on the Executive Management Team to
provide leadership to ensure the digital infrastructure and systems necessary
to support CFK’s 5-year strategic plan and its mission to empower youth in
slums. The DYSDI is responsible for establishing and managing a youth network to
amplify CFK services, empower youth advocacy, and facilitate data-driven
change. This role requires a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual with deep
experience in digital technology creation, strategy implementation, partnership
development, and a commitment to participatory global community and youth
development in informal settlements.

Field Officer, Best Schools Initiative (Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya) at CFK Africa
About CFK Africa: Established in 2001, CFK
Africa empowers youth in slums in Kenya through integrated health and
leadership initiatives.
About the Program: The Project is designed to
facilitate Best Schools Initiative activity plans in the identified schools
within informal settlements.
Location & Scope: Implementation will be in the informal
settlements of Kibera and partner counties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist
in the mobilization and organization of project activities to create
community awareness and advocate for beneficiaries in the community and
schools.
- Ensure
timely updates of field reports, data collection, and update on emerging
issues from all implementing schools.
- Assist
in community dialogues and discussions with beneficiary schools and
education community.
- Organize
and conduct spot checks on implementing schools for continuous monitoring
of implementation processes.
- Facilitate
communication: act as a liaison between the school, the project and the
community, ensuring that all parties are informed and involved in the
project.
- Perform
any other related duty assigned from time to time.
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
- KCSE
certificate.
- Training/certificate
in social work, community development, CHW training, education or relevant
field is an added advantage.
- A
minimum of 2 years’ experience working in communities, community
development initiatives or education related engagements is desired.
- Strong
communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability
to work well under pressure.
- Additional
experience with school-related engagements and related practices.
Program Structure:
Successful candidate will be paired with dedicated
professional supervisors at the beginning of engagement for guidance.
Compensation: CFK Africa offers a stipend for
this role.
