Job Purpose Statement

The role holder efficiently and accurately processes and checks various treasury & trade transactions for Bank customers, in accordance with the applicable procedures, rules and Policies, agreed service standards and operational instructions of the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Finance Operations

Job Purpose Statement

The Head of Compliance will be responsible for ensuring effective compliance function is in place and ensuring that the Board Approved compliance framework is aligned with the applicable regulatory laws and regulations. The function will also ensure that the compliance framework is being implemented in all areas to protect the bank from regulatory fines, financial loss, reputation damage, and legal ramifications resulting from non-compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Financial

  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to prevent and detect instances of conflicts of interest or patterns of illegal, unethical, or improper conduct by employees.
  • Ensure that irregularities and non-compliance issues or breaches of applicable compliance policies and standards are properly investigated, escalated to relevant senior management and the Board Committee with follow-up on correction actions.
  • Provide compliance, governance advisory, and support to the bank’s management, business, and control units in order to adhere to the bank’s standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ascertain a compliance assessment on new products, services, and delivery channels being established prior to launch in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Job Purpose Statement

  • To conduct detailed assessment of credit customers and ensure accuracy of financial and non-financial qualitative and quantitative information analysis in order to ensure the client credit worthiness & maintain CIB Kenya seniority, protection & control and efficiently monitor the customers’ performance.
  • To support the credit risk assessment on assigned customers and monitor accounts on daily basis to ensure abidance to approved facility structures. Key Responsibilities Financial
  • Analyze monthly performance reports for direct and contingent facilities to come up with recommendations to the senior credit officer regarding utilization patterns.
  • Develop awareness of the bank’s portfolio of products including Corporate Finance, investments, FX, retail, deposits

  • Develop strong knowledge and awareness of the assigned industries portfolio to ensure quality financial analysis and write ups.
  • Conduct periodical market research reflecting recent industry developments in order to depict any early warning signals that might trigger migration of Risk Rating (RR) in liaise with the Risk Group.
  • Support the manager to conduct and document regular visits to clients’ offices/factories to assess the operation’s cycles, assets, production process, inventory storage procedure etc, to be able to present coherent in-depth analysis.
