Nature Kenya is Hiring Education Promotional Officers

Nature Kenya is seeking to recruit seven Education Promotional Officers to coordinate and implement environmental education, awareness-raising, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge management activities under the Symbiotic Project, while also overseeing the management of the Resource Centres.

๐š) Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Education, Environmental Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Community Development, Communication or related field
๐›) Have at least three (3) years’ experience in environmental education, community mobilization or conservation awareness programs
๐œ) Have experience working with schools, community groups and conservation stakeholders
๐) Poses strong communication, facilitation and report writing skills
๐ž) Have experience in knowledge management and documentation
๐Ÿ) Live near the above-mentioned sites and have good local knowledge of the landscape and its conservation challenges

Conservation Promotion Officer at Nature Kenya

We are seeking a dedicated Conservation Promotion Officer to secure vital financial resources that support our conservation initiatives. This is an entry-level position, and the successful candidate is expected to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivate meaningful relationships with corporate donors, and execute targeted campaigns to attract funding from diverse sources, including individual donors, corporations, and private foundations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans to meet organisational revenue goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners and major donors
  • Design and execute fundraising campaigns across multiple channels
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities from individuals, corporations, and foundations
  • Manage donor databases and track fundraising performance metrics

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Conservation, Natural Resource Management, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing and fundraising
  • Deep knowledge of conservation issues and environmental challenges
  • Genuine passion for wildlife conservation and environmental protection

Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.

Qualities/Experience:

  • Relevant experience in communications, marketing, writing, and content creation, particularly within conservation or membership organizations
  • Capability in multimedia content creation (graphic design, audio-visual production)
  • Familiarity with digital media and social media management
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
