Our internship program is designed for individuals who are
looking to work in a dynamic global organization. The program comprises of
functional projects which the intern will be assigned over a period of 1 year.
Along with accomplishing challenging tasks every day, the candidate will
receive coaching from the assignment manager through a structured plan and
defined set of deliverables, to grow both business and leadership capabilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support
Area contribution towards the Velo targets through Expansion, UAP
compliance and RTM matrices post Mystery Shopper Activity.
- Work
with the Velo Champion to track and delivery of the weekly, monthly, and
quarterly IMS performance.
- Work
to support the trade activities in West of Nairobi region, track
efficiency and effectiveness weekly performance to be above national
average.
What are we looking for?
- Must
have graduated with a university degree (Bachelor’s level or higher)
within the last year.
- Valid
driver’s license for a manual vehicle, with a minimum of two years driving
experience.
- Excellent
communication skills and ability of selling, problem-solving and
negotiation.
- Strong
English and Swahili proficiency.

Sustainability Executive at British American Tobacco (BAT)
Your key responsibilities will include:
Operations/ Professional/ Business
- Set up
a robust process on risk assessment involving all sections/depts.
- Daily
monitoring of contractors activities for compliance to the EHS guidelines
and Permit To Work process.
- Weekly
inspection of first aid kits and collation of incident reports.
- Monthly
inspection of fire equipments,fire alarm and suppression systems
- Carrying
out induction training for all new contractor employees and site entry
assessments.
- Preparing
and planning for EHS inhouse trainings.
- Participation
in incident accident investigations.
- Monitoring
of the waste management/segregation process.
- Management
of the fumigation and pest control programme.
Management
- Ensure
availability of adequate number of trained first aiders, fire fighters and
ambulance drivers.
- Ensure
implementation of the fire alarm, fumigation, maintenance of firefighting
equipment and effluent treatment contracts are carried out correctly and
on time.
- Ensure
availability of adequate and quality personal protective equipment.
- Ensure
that all contractors fully understand the procedures to follow to
safeguard the environment and the health and safety of their activities.
- Ensure
statutory medical examinations for all staff.
- Proactive
closure of gaps noted in near miss reports and Behavioural Based Safety
programmes
Leadership
- Drive
and co-ordinate reviews on Water Stewardship Standards for the site.
- Lead
the Sustainability pillar for the site.
- Co-ordinating
internal EHS Reviews and audits.
- Prepare
and manage all EHS records and documentation.
- Coordinate
first aid team in the event of need.
- Co-ordinating
the various statutory/corporate medical check-ups for staff and
contractors onsite.
- Driving
road safety and standards within the sales force teams.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelors’
Degree in Mechanical Engineering /Chemical Engineering/any technical
engineering degree course. A qualification in EHS will be an added
advantage.
- 5
years working experience in a Factory set up in a similar capacity
excluding internship
- Interpersonal
skills: Effective communication and influencing skills
- Sound
understanding of risk management principles and their application in
business operations.
- Competent
in computer skills.
- Experience
in using Lean management tools (e.g. TPM, Kaizen, 5S) would be an added
advantage

in achieving trade coverage, visit frequency and outlet visit plan to

environment.

Quality Manager at British American Tobacco (BAT)
The Quality Manager is a senior leadership role in the
manufacturing department responsible for developing, implementing, and managing
the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all products meet the
highest standards of safety, legality, and quality. This role provides
strategic direction for the quality function, ensures compliance with all
relevant regulatory bodies, drives a culture of continuous improvement
throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality manager is the ultimate decision
maker on product release and the primary contact for key customers on all
quality-related matters. This role is primarily based at the manufacturing
facility and requires time in the office and the production floor.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Operational, Leadership, Continuous Improvement and
System management
- Develop
and execute the company’s quality strategy in alignment with overall
business objectives.
- Design,
implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) compliant
with global standards.
- Establish
and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the quality department
to track performance and drive improvements.
- Prepare
and manage the departmental budget, ensuring resources are allocated
effectively.

all aspects of operational quality control, including raw material
inspection, in-process checks, and final product release protocols.

Supplier & Customer Quality Assurance:
- Develop

as the senior point of contact for customer quality inquiries and

certification bodies.

What are we looking for?
- Education: Bachelor’s
Degree or higher in Chemical engineering, Food Science, Food Technology,
Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience: A
minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a quality assurance management role
within a manufacturing industry preferably FMCG. A proven record at a
senior level is essential.
