Junior Risk Analyst – Conflict Checks at Deloitte

Main purpose of the job

The holder of this position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of conflict checks, effective management of related correspondence and queries, and proactive communication within the team. The role will support the firm’s risk management processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will do

1. Quality of Conflict Checks Performed

  • Ensure all conflict checks are completed accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain high standards of layout and neatness in all documentation.
  • Provide sufficient, relevant, and reliable information to support clear conclusions.
  • Ensure all conflict checks are reviewed and validated prior to circulation.
  • Track all correspondence and documentation related to each case.

2. Average Handling Time of Conflict Checks – Individual

  • Complete all conflict checks within the target timeframe of 2 to 5 days.
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding information to expedite case finalisation.

3. Average Handling Time of Conflict Checks – Team

  • Support team members as required to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintain ongoing follow-up on outstanding information for all team cases.
  • Ensure the team collectively meets the 2-to-5-day completion target for conflict checks.

4. Communication with Team and Management

  • Maintain regular communication with management, especially when issues or problem areas are identified.
  • Seek guidance from team members or management when uncertainties arise.

5. Attending and Contributing to Additional Activities

  • Assist with general and ad hoc tasks related to conflict checks as needed.
  • Undertake additional delegated tasks efficiently, appropriately, and effectively.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Basic understanding of risk and independence aspects affecting the audit environment.
  • Knowledge of Company Structures
  • General knowledge of “conflict of interest”/” potential conflicts” from a business perspective
  • Some knowledge of the regulatory bodies (IFAC(IESBA)/SEC/PCAOB etc.)
  • Computer literacy- Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.

Main purpose of the job

As a Manager in Deloitte’s Risk, Regulatory and Forensics practice, you will lead and deliver enterprise risk and financial crime engagements, working closely with senior managers, directors and partners to provide high-quality, insight-led solutions to clients. The role covers enterprise risk reviews and transformations, as well as financial crime advisory services. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end engagement lifecycle, including scoping, planning, delivery, reporting, team leadership and project management.

What you will do

  • Lead, develop, encourage and motivate engagement teams to deliver high-quality client service, build capability through effective delegation, coaching and feedback, and foster a collaborative, accountable culture aligned to Deloitte’s Values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Relevant professional qualification required; Anti-Money Laundering (AML) related certification will be an added advantage.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience, ideally in a Big Four firm, financial institution, or telecommunications environment, with exposure to AML and enterprise risk management.

Technical Skills
