Centum are looking for a Chief of Staff who will support the
Group Chief Executive Officer in the consistent delivery and follow through on
strategic and business development initiatives, tracking of execution against
strategy and management of key external and internal
Key Accountabilities:
Strategic Support
- Strategic
Delivery: Tracking and reporting progress on strategic initiatives with
clear timelines and outcomes.
- Stakeholder
Engagement: Building strong relationships internally and externally,
ensuring positive feedback on interactions and deliverables.
- Operational
Excellence: Timely and accurate preparation of board papers, communication
materials, and strategic reports.
- Project
Management: Monitoring and tracking progress on the implementation of
strategic initiatives and projects across the Centum Group to ensure
milestone delivery.
- Business
Performance
- Track
the performance of the business units and subsidiaries against the
objectives set out within the strategy, providing timely reports and
recommendations to the Group CEO.
- Identifying
trends and recommending innovative strategies aligned with Centum’s
vision.
- Leading
special projects to drive innovation and unlock new opportunities in line
with Centum’s strategy.
Cultural and Cross-functional Leadership
- Facilitating
alignment across departments to deliver on strategic goals in line with
set targets.
- Influencing
without direct authority while ensuring accountability for outcomes.
- Embedding
Centum’s culture and values in daily operations and interactions, acting
as a role model for integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the
organization’s mission.
Board Engagement
- Development
of key documents relating to business strategy and performance in a timely
manner.
- Liaise
with the Company Secretariat to ensure there is timely delivery of quality
Board papers to the Group CEO for review and subsequently circulated to
the Board in line with the approved Board agenda.
Investor Relations and Corporate Communications
- Pro-actively
engage with the investment community and successfully communicate Centum’s
financial and strategic objectives in a timely manner.
- Mapping
and engaging key stakeholders to ensure that accurate information is
communicated on a need’s basis.
- Representation
of the Group CEO in select external engagements.
- Coordination
of all corporate communications and thought leadership for Centum
Investment Company Plc. (CICP) and the Group CEO in line with the brand
philosophy.
- Building
and maintaining strong relationships with investors and key stakeholders:
- Spearheading
thought leadership initiatives to position Centum as an industry leader.
- Social
media engagement.
- Actively
participating in investor roadshows and high-level external engagements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Master’s
degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional
Qualification in CPA, CFA or ACCA.
- 7 – 10
years’ work experience in Finance, Management Consulting, Corporate
Strategy, Investment or senior-level Project Management environments.
- Regional
or global experience with a track record of collaborating with
cross-cultural teams preferred.
- Experience
in Investment, Real Estate, Financial Services or high-growth sectors is
an added advantage.
- Advanced
proficiency in financial modelling, project management, and data analysis.
- Strong
interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence senior
stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional
verbal and written communication skills.
- High
emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability to dynamic
environments.
- Proficiency
in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/project management systems.
- Demonstrated
ability to think strategically and execute effectively in dynamic
environments.
