Job Specification
Duties and responsibilities
- Developing
documentation of business systems according to user requirements and
specifications;
- Installing
and configuring business systems and solutions;
- Support
automation of manual business processes;
- Maintaining
application systems by identifying and fixing software bugs;
- Providing
end user support and training users on effective and efficient use of ICT
facilities;
- Installing,
configuring and monitoring Local Area Network components;
- Administering
and managing users in the Active Directory, e-mail server and User
applications;
- Maintaining
an up-to-date ICT equipment register and issuance register;
- Updating
and maintaining the KDC website; and
- Ensuring
Business continuity by performing regular data and application backups.
- Design,
customize and maintain Microsoft Dynamics Navision while providing
technical support and optimizing system performance;
- Monitoring
the use of ICT hardware and reporting any faults for further action.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade an officer must have at least:
–
- Diploma
in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Communication
Technology, Software Engineering, Business IT or equivalent from a
recognized institution.
- Cumulative
service period of five (5) years relevant work experience, three (3) of
which should be at the grade of Senior ICT Assistant or in comparable
position
- Supervisory
skills course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized
institution
- Certification
in Microsoft Dynamics Nav/Business Central
- At
least any one (1) certifications from relevant professional bodies in
either Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), CISA, CISM, CGEIT or
other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Shown
merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
- Membership
to an equivalent ICT professional body.

Duties and responsibilities
- Ensuring
security of office equipment, documents and records;
- Recording
dictation in shorthand and transcribing in typewritten form; processing
data and managing e-office;
- Planning
and organizing meetings, workshop/conferences and seminars; operating
office equipment;
- Responding
to correspondences; attending to visitors/clients; handling telephone
calls, enquiries and appointments;
- Handling
protocols and confirming travel itineraries; and managing office petty
cash.
- Guiding
and supervising lower secretarial personnel.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have at
least: –
- Diploma
in Secretarial Studies, Office Management, Business Administration or any
other relevant field from a recognized institution;
- Cumulative
service period of six (6) years relevant work experience, three (3) years
of which should have been at the grade of Assistant Office Administrator
or in a comparable and relevant position;
- Been
registered to a relevant professional body and in good standing;
- Proficiency
in computer applications; and
- Shown
merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
