Technical Solar Sales Representative (Naivasha & Kisumu) at Chloride Exide (K) Limited
The job holder will be expected to develop and execute
strategic plans to achieve Solar sales targets and expand the customer base.
Working broadly and collaboratively to achieve Solar sales growth across the
country through prospecting, identification and understanding of customer
requirements, designing and providing the right solutions, relationship
building and retention; ensuring expansion of renewable energy and creating
sustainable market presence of our solar Systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Collaborate
with management to develop effective sales strategies to penetrate new
markets and expand existing customer base.
- Analyze
sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Proactively
identify and engage with potential clients through networking, cold
calling, and attending industry events.
- Build
and maintain a pipeline of leads, ensuring regular follow-up to convert
opportunities into sales.
- Conduct
comprehensive consultations with clients to assess their energy needs and
recommend suitable solar solutions.
- Provide
tailored solutions that meet client specifications and budget
requirements.
- Maintain
in-depth knowledge of solar products, including technical specifications
and benefits, to effectively educate clients.
- Conduct
workshops and informational sessions for clients to promote solar energy
solutions.
- Prepare
detailed sales proposals, outlining project scope, costs, and timelines.
- Negotiate
terms and conditions with clients, ensuring mutual agreement and
satisfaction.
- Coordinate
with the installation and technical teams to ensure seamless project
execution and client satisfaction.
- Follow
up with client’s post-installation to address any concerns and ensure
optimal system performance.
- Monitor
sales performance against targets and provide regular reports to
management.
- Analyze
customer feedback and market trends to improve sales strategies.
- Work
closely with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns that
align with sales objectives.
- Participate
in team meetings to share insights, challenges, and successes.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS.
- BSc.
Electrical & electronics, renewable energy, energy engineering, B.
Com/business administration with related professional qualifications in
sales and marketing.
- Minimum
of 3 years’ experience in solar sales (solar panels, batteries, and
inverters). Able to deliver beyond set targets.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence
potential customers
- Strong
negotiation and persuasion abilities to close deals and meet sales targets
- Ability
to understand technical aspects of solar energy systems and convey this
knowledge in a clear and accessible manner to customers
- Thorough
knowledge of PVSystem, SWH and PBS products/systems and all our product
range.
