We are a Christian school seeking a qualified Human Resource
(HR) Intern to support administrative, clerical, and logistical HR functions,
including records management, recruitment support, leave tracking, staff
welfare activities, and general HR office operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain
and organize staff files, including contracts, appraisals, leave forms,
certificates and retrieve documents for audits or HR processes.
- Assist
with posting job ads, scheduling interviews, preparing recruitment
materials and organizing onboarding packages for new employees.
- Maintain
attendance registers, update leave records and support follow-ups on
discrepancies while notifying HR Officers of payroll-related adjustments.
- Respond
to HR-related queries about policies, procedures, forms and handle
document requests under supervision.
- Support
staff welfare activities, meetings, recognition events and assist in
ensuring employee files are complete with compliance notices fully
updated.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
degree / Diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a
related field.
- Membership
with IHRM (or similar professional body).
- Minimum
1 year in HR roles.
- Valid
certificate of good conduct.

Boarding Assistants at Mirema School
We are a Christian School in the Education Sector looking
for two Boarding Assistants who will be required to live on site. They will be
responsible for ensuring that routines are followed in the boarding house. They
will also be responsible for enhancing the general welfare, safety and
well-being of the boarding children in the boarding house.
Responsibilities
- Assist
in ensuring that the children’s meals; breakfast, break time, lunch, 4 pm
tea, and supper have been taken.
- On all
occasions prepare and receive boarders on their arrival days and prepare
them on their departure.
- Ensure
that the children’s uniform is tagged or named for ease of distribution
after laundry and to flag off any worn-out uniforms.
- In
charge of the appearance and tidiness of the boarders.
- Be
involved in the children’s co-curricular activities, this includes school,
boarding house activities, recreational activities such as entertainment,
sports, and any other chosen activities.
- Ensure
adherence to the co-curricular activities program and the boarders
(particularly, younger ones) are appropriately occupied in the evenings
and weekends.
- Responsible
for children’s welfare within the vicinity: on school grounds, ensuring
safety during play, in class and out of class, while handling any
equipment/items as well as interacting with other children.
- Fully
in charge of designated children by ensuring a conducive environment and
that they are clean, neat.
- Monitoring
health checks and following up on sick children, ensuring proper medical
management such as safe and correct medication.
Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate
in guidance and Counseling/Housekeeping/ Laundry or any relevant course.
- Must
be a Christian.
- 1-2
years’ relevant experience in a school set up working in a boarding house.
- Valid
certificate of good conduct.

qualified Accounts Intern. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
Supporting the finance and accounts completing routine bookkeeping, and
accounting tasks. Provide support in preparing budgets, reporting and
accounting duties for the school.
Responsibilities
- Help
with month-end financial reports
- Help
with bank statements reconciliation, as well as accounts payable and
receivable
- Assist
with the preparation of ad hoc and other internal reports
- Compose
and input journal entries into QuickBooks
- Do
data entry and credit checks.
- Complete
and proofread requisitions from other school departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
degree in Finance/Commerce.
- CPA
Part 2
- QuickBooks/Sage/Accounting
qualification.
- 6months
– 1 year relevant accounts experience
