of Support/Integration/Deployment Technician (FDS) at Fireside

Location: Mombasa
Qualifications
- Certificate
/ Diploma / Degree in Telecommunications, IT, or Networking (preferred)
- At
least 1 year experience
- Cisco
Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is an added advantage
- Fiber
Optic Certifications (e.g. FOA, ETA)
- Experience
with network diagnostic tools
- Basic
knowledge of structured cabling, patch panels, and crimping tools
- Good
problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability
to work independently in the field
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration
of routing and switching equipment
- Install,
configure, and support LANs, WANs, telephony, and internet systems
- Installation,
termination, and configuration of projects
- Establish
a networking environment
- Maximize
network performance
- Undertake
data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments
- Upgrade
data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
- Microwave
links line-of-sight surveys and link budgets
- Indoor
solutions for both voice and data
- RF
technical site surveys
- Network
audit, site transmission planning, and engineering survey services

NOC Dispatch – ISP
Fireside Group Ltd is pleased to invite applications for the
position of NOC Dispatch – ISP.
Location: Nairobi
Qualifications
- Diploma
or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications,
Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- At
least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Basic
understanding of fiber network concepts.
- Excellent
communication and customer service skills.
- Ability
to multitask and remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize
and dispatch field engineers based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and
urgency.
- Track
work orders and ensure timely updates from field teams.
- Monitor
and update all tickets and faults related to ISP scopes.
- Actively
follow up with technicians to ensure tickets are resolved within agreed
SLAs.
- Ensure
all tickets are closed within the approved Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
- Promptly
escalate issues for intervention as required.
- Provide
regular, high-quality updates to clients on ticket status within agreed
timelines.
- Ensure
Service Level Agreements are maintained and exceeded through efficient
ticket management.
- Prepare
daily reports on all ISP scopes achieved.
- Maintain
good relationships and rapport with clients.
- Ensure
100% compliance with EHS standards for teams in the regions handled.
- Perform
any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
