Job Description
AMI is looking for an ambitious and talented Junior Content
Associate to support in the project management, creation, and management of
digital learning assets. This is an ideal opportunity for a driven, organized,
tech-savvy, and detail-oriented professional with project-management skills,
and an interest in digital media and learning.
Responsibilities
- Project
Management: Map and plan individual tasks as well as supporting with
the organisation and prioritisation of the Content team’s priorities;
- Use Monday.com to plan
individual tasks
- Collaborate
with Content and Learning team members to prioritise tasks
- Asset
creation: Use various tools and software to develop internal and
programmatic resources
- Use
Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat to create tools and infographics for
learning material
- Design
slides and other resources for internal and external usage
- Create
illustrative graphics using Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop, and
Canva
- Develop
motion graphics using Adobe After Effects
- Use
Premiere Pro for video and audio editing
- Asset
Management: Support with cataloging, storing and tagging assets.
- Upload
digital assets to the AMI Learn platform.
- Tag
and catalogue created and translated assets to enable team members to
easily find and reuse them.
- Supporting
the Learning team;
- Participating
in team activities to support the achievement of Learning team goals
- Assisting
members of the Learning team with one-on-one engagement as needed.
Requirements
- Basic
experience in instructional design, digital media design,
- Ability
to engage with digital media and instructional design principles
- Strong
digital fluency, comfortable using Google Workspace, project management
tools (e.g., Monday.com), and remote collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack,
Zoom).
- Strong
written and visual communication skills
- Excellent
attention to detail.
- Self-management
skills including the ability to work within deadlines and communicate
proactively
- Data-literate,
able to interpret learning data and adjust design strategies

Impact Insights Analyst
Team: Impact Intelligence
Location: Nairobi (Hybrid)
Role Overview
AMI supports entrepreneurs and managers across Africa to
grow businesses and create jobs through practical learning and data-driven
solutions. The Impact Insights Analyst will transform analysis-ready data into
clear insights, segmentation, dashboards, and recommendations that guide
program and client decisions.
The role sits within the Impact Intelligence team and works
closely with the Data Warehouse team, which owns data ingestion and modelling.
This role owns the analysis plan, data quality for decision-making, and the
insight layer.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Readiness & Quality
- Define
validation checks and write QA queries
- Document
assumptions and maintain lightweight data dictionaries for program,
diagnostic, and survey datasets
- Raise,
track, and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with the Data
Warehouse team
2. Analytics & Segmentation
- Lead
descriptive, diagnostic, and basic inferential analyses
- Design
and implement rule-based and clustering segmentation (e.g., k-means)
suited to MSMEs
- Conduct
cohort and retention analysis
- Run
simple regressions and hypothesis tests to inform decision-making
3. Dashboards & Insight Storytelling
- Build
decision-focused dashboards in Metabase
- Produce
concise insight memos and partner-ready slide decks that clearly
articulate:
- What
happened
- Why
it matters
- What
should be done next
4. Stakeholder Enablement
- Run
office hours and short trainings for non-technical colleagues
- Track
adoption of dashboards and insights, and iterate based on feedback
5. Impact, MEL & Learning Support
- Own
analysis plans, question banks, and insight narratives for impact
reporting and learning agendas
- Contribute
insight assets to proposals and client presentations
6. Data Governance & Reproducibility
- Apply
AMI privacy, consent, and data governance standards
- Promote
reproducible analysis using version-controlled notebooks and documented
SQL
Role Boundaries
- The
role does not own ETL pipelines, raw schema design, or
infrastructure
- Works
collaboratively with the Data Warehouse team on these areas
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–7
years of applied analytics experience with program, survey, or enterprise
datasets, preferably in African contexts
- Advanced
SQL experience in production environments (CTEs, window functions, joins,
data quality checks)
- Proficiency
in Python or R for analysis and validation workflows
- Strong
BI experience using Metabase (preferred), Power BI, or Tableau
- Proven
ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for
non-technical audiences
- Excellent
written and verbal communication in English
- Comfortable
working independently in a distributed, fast-paced environment
Skills & Attributes
- Advanced
SQL (must-have) with demonstrated BI dashboarding experience
- Strong
data visualization and dashboard design skills
- Analytical
rigor and statistical thinking (hypothesis testing, regression, cohort
analysis)
- Segmentation
design with strong feature selection, validation, and business
interpretability
- Experience
with MSME, learning, MEL, financial inclusion, or market research datasets
- Familiarity
with survey tools (Kobo, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics)
- Exposure
to dbt and Git for reproducible analytics
- Familiarity
with BigQuery, Postgres, or Snowflake
- Clear
documentation, version control discipline, and transparent assumptions
- Strong
