Maintenance – Mechanical Technician
Job Purpose:
Repair and service machinery, equipment, systems and
infrastructures to ensure availability and maximum performance. Provide support
in commissioning of new equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute
preventive, autonomous, and planned maintenance on all factory equipment,
standby generators, utilities, and buildings in a factory environment.
- Address
and close OSHA audit findings or other assigned/self-initiated
initiatives.
- Initiate
continuous improvement projects, including but not limited to process
automation, to achieve maximum operational efficiency.
- Implement
engineering processes and services in full compliance with Health, Safety,
and Environmental (HSE) standards set by the company.
- Maintain
accurate equipment logs using job cards, including performance records,
repairs, calibrations, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure
maximum machine/equipment availability and minimum downtime.
- Train
operators on basic diagnostic techniques such as recognizing unusual
sounds, machine overheating, need for greasing, and similar indicators.
- Adhere
to clean and hygienic standards by maintaining tidy workstations and
actively supporting food safety programs.
- Continuously
identify opportunities for process improvement as well as savings in
utility costs and usage.
- Collaborate
closely with the Production department to minimize breakdowns and improve
overall output.

Experience / Qualification:

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare
& maintain standard & actual product costs
- Calculate
cost of production (materials, labor, overhead)
- Perform
monthly cost sheet preparation for all products/SKUs
- Conduct
monthly/periodic variance analysis (Material, Labor, Overhead & Yield
variances)
- Investigate
root causes of significant variances & recommend corrective actions
- Monitor
production process costs & identify areas of inefficiency/wastage
- Assist
in preparation of annual production budgets & departmental overhead
budgets
- Ensure
compliance with internal financial policies & cost accounting
standards
- Assist
during internal & statutory audits related to production costing
- Coordinate
with Production, Procurement, Quality, Maintenance & Stores
departments on cost-related matters
- Prepare
daily/weekly/monthly production cost reports & dashboards
- Provide
cost data for management review meetings & pricing decisions
- Support
month-end & year-end closing activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s
degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com / BBA / BBM)
- Preferred: Professional
qualification – ACCA / CPA (or equivalent)
- 3
years’ experience in cost accounting / production costing / management
accounting
- Preference
will be given to candidates from manufacturing industries (FMCG, Food
processing, etc.)
- Strong
knowledge of cost accounting principles & manufacturing processes
- Proficiency
in Excel (Advanced – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, Power Query)
- Analytical
mindset with attention to detail
- Hands-on
experience with ERP systems
