Life’s Variety (TRUFOODS) is expanding its Horeca (Hotels,
Restaurants, Cafés & Catering) footprint and is looking for a motivated Van
Sales Representative to join our team. If you have experience in field sales,
enjoy building relationships with foodservice customers, and can execute daily
van routes to hit targets — we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute
van selling to ensure the company’s products are consistently available in
hotels, restaurants, bakeries, eateries and institutions within the
assigned territory.
- Identify,
approach and onboard new Horeca customers (hotels, restaurants, cafés,
bars) to grow market share and listings.
- Manage
relationships with existing distributors — support product depletion,
promotions and attainment of agreed targets.
- Liaise
with the correct contact persons in Horeca outlets to ensure product
availability and usage across the channel.
- Provide
tailored product recommendations and promotional support, including advice
on running offers, FOC items and promotional merchandise.
- Conduct
market intelligence and pricing surveys; report on competitor offers and
new products.
- Plan
and execute daily van sales routes to achieve sales, distribution and
collection goals.
- Identify
product quality issues and either attend to them or escalate to the
appropriate team.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma
or Certificate in Sales & Marketing or any related business field.
- 2–3
years’ experience in field sales with proven exposure to Horeca channels;
prior van sales experience is an advantage.
- Valid
Class E or BCE driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent
communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated,
target-driven, and able to work flexible hours (including occasional
weekends for events/promotions).

About the Role
Trufoods Kenya is seeking a proactive and
detail-oriented Assistant Cost Control professional to join
its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring
production performance, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining accurate cost
records across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare
and share production and plant performance reports in comparison with set
targets.
- Verify
reported outputs and analyze machine performance.
- Monitor
and verify machine breakdowns and compute associated costs.
- Update
the weekly production plan for review during operations meetings.
- Verify
rework generated against reported output.
- Monitor,
verify, and report online damages of packing materials.
- Verify
and record products approved for destruction by QA and the Production
Manager.
- Carry
out daily product yield analysis.
- Perform
system adjustments as required.
- Maintain
proper inventory control.
- Monitor
and ensure adherence to the work order SOP.
- Prepare
daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports for management review.
- Maintain
updated cost records, including labor, materials, and overheads.
- Suggest
improvements to control process lapses, cost savings, and reduce product
shortages.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related
field.
- 1–3
years of experience in FMCG, specifically in cost control.
- Strong
attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management
skills.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability
to work effectively under tight deadlines.
