At Dakawou Transport Ltd, we are a trusted leader in petroleum products
transportation across the region. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an
experienced and driven Spare Parts Procurement & Stores Supervisor to join
our team in Nairobi.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee sourcing and procurement of quality spare parts in line with company policies and budgets.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, favorable terms, and timely deliveries.
Manage the spare parts store, ensuring accurate inventory control and efficient
issuance processes.
Work closely with our workshop and maintenance teams to forecast and plan spare
parts requirements.
Prepare procurement reports and inventory updates for management.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and health &
safety guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong technical knowledge of automotive spare parts for trucks and petroleum tankers.
Solid grasp of procurement best practices, inventory management, and ERP systems (SAP B1 or similar).
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and vendor management skills.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving
abilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
3–5 years experience in procurement and stores management within transport/logistics sectors.
Knowledge of Kenya’s procurement regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualities:
KISM certification (or equivalent).
Experience in petroleum transport maintenance environments.
