Job Description
The purpose of this role is to assist in the work of
salvation and exaltation by providing individual contributor, intermediate
level administrative support to one or more leader and/or one or more
functional team or work group. Employees at this level work under general
supervision and handle moderately complex issues and problems that require
solid administrative support working knowledge.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Compiling
data/information, usually from a variety of sources, to prepare memos,
documents, reports, spreadsheets (including charts and graphs), and
presentations using a wide range of software and platforms.
- Performing
research, analyzing information, and making recommendations based on
findings
- Taking
meeting minutes and managing meeting documentation
- Using
computer apps and software to schedule meetings and appointments and
maintain calendars.
- Making
travel arrangements
- Supporting
projects, programs, or processes
- Answering
moderately complex telephone and email requests
- Assisting
with p card reconciliation and other basic budget activities
- Assisting
lower level employees through training and/or mentorship
Qualifications
- High
School Diploma or equivalent
- 2
years administrative or related experience
- Solid
administrative support working knowledgeKey Skills include the ability to:
- Communicate
professionally in writing and verbally.
- Utilize
Microsoft Office and other software at an intermediate level to schedule
appointments, create and perform analysis on spreadsheets, prepare
presentations, take notes and minutes, and create and update word
documents.

Job Description
Finance employees receive, account for, monitor, and design
internal controls to safeguard sacred funds (donated confidentially in
obedience to God’s commandments) for the Church’s religious mission under the
direction of senior ecclesiastical leaders.This position is an entry level
professional accounting position in which the incumbent applies accounting
principles in working with specialized accounting records and reports and is
responsible for assisting in the day to day maintenance of a complete and
accurate general ledger and in preparing basic financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Preparing
journal entries and other adjustments
- Initiating
general ledger file maintenance, account reconciliations and reviews and
clearing outstanding items in the ledgers
- Reviewing
expenditures against budget, preparing necessary reconciliations,
conducting investigations and passing correcting entries
- Assisting
in preparing various financial estimates and expense reports
- Auditing
of project accounts for compliance to policy and correspond with
appropriate parties regarding the status of these projects
- Helping
to train and support priesthood leaders and other junior accountants
Qualifications
- Must
have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management;
majoring in financial accounting
- Professional
qualification and membership in any relevant professional bodies such
CPA(K), ACCA, CISA etc
- Incumbents
must understand the accountant code of conduct, demonstrate a
well-grounded knowledge of financial and accounting theory and policies
including a knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Must
have a minimum of four to six years of professional accounting experience
- Must
have extensive experience in the use of computerized accounting systems
- Must
have a knowledge of, and extensive experience in computer skills
including, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle or
Peoplesoft will be an added advantage
- Must
have the ability to analyze and understand complex accounting problems,
financial reports
- Must
have the ability to develop accounting system in order to mitigate risks
- Must
have strong reconciliation skills
- Must
be self driven and goal oriented
- Must
be proficient in English and have excellent written and verbal
communication skills in English
- Must
have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with
colleagues, management and priesthood leaders
- Must
have a comprehensive understanding of church organization

Responsibilities
- Interacts
with customers over the telephone or face to face. Inputs and corrects
customer orders and subscriptions through various computer software
packages.
- Learns
to find their own errors and correct with instruction.
- Trains
on the different computer software packages, follows policies &
procedures, expands knowledge of Distribution product line, handles
customers on the telephone and face to face, deals with all types of
orders and subscriptions, helps answer customer questions and problems,
deals with customer personalities (ie. Unsatisfied and disappointed
customers).
- Works
on completing Customer Service Rep 2 requirements skills (current copy
attached).
- Increases
speed and accuracy in all areas where training has been received.
Qualifications
- Must
be worthy to hold a current temple recommend
- Completed
Customer Service Rep 1 training and four (4) years clerical
experience.
- High
School degree or equivalent.
- Ten
Key skills. Basic math skills
- Good
customer service skills.
- Good
telephone skills.
- Familiarity
with computer equipment.
- Ability
to work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures and
written instruction to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ability
to communicate properly with colleagues, priesthood leaders and managers
in both English and French.
