Job Description
We are looking for a hardworking and commercially minded
Solutions Architect & Presales Engineer to design and develop
customer-focused technical solutions that are scalable, secure, technically
sound, and commercially viable. The role will bridge Sales, Commercial,
Engineering, and customers, supporting solution design, tenders, technical
proposals, customer engagements, and network planning and architecture.
Job Responsibilities
- Design
and develop end-to-end telecommunications solutions based on customer and
business requirements.
- Partner
with commercial teams to provide technical support throughout the customer
acquisition process.
- Translate
customer requirements into scalable, secure, technically and commercially
viable solutions.
- Support
RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and proposals, including technical responses,
compliance matrices, and solution documentation.
- Develop
solution architectures, technical designs, network diagrams, BoQs, and
technical specifications.
- Participate
in customer meetings, technical presentations, site surveys, and solution
clarification sessions.
- Conduct
technical feasibility assessments, capacity planning, and network
architecture reviews for proposed solutions.
- Support
network planning, expansion, upgrades, migrations, and optimization
initiatives.
- Collaborate
with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure solutions are
implementable, supportable, and aligned with network standards.
- Provide
technical support during implementation, testing, commissioning, and
service handover.
- Identify
and manage technical risks, dependencies, assumptions, and solution
constraints.
- Keep
abreast of emerging telecommunications technologies and recommend
solutions that support business growth and innovation.
- Develop
and maintain technical standards, solution templates, architecture
documentation, and best practices.
Role Qualifications
- Minimum
of seven (7) years’ relevant experience in telecommunications, network
engineering, solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, or a related
technical environment.
- Demonstrated
experience in designing technical/network solutions for enterprise or
corporate customers.
- Experience
supporting RFPs, RFQs, tenders, technical proposals, and pre-sales
activities.
- Practical
experience in network planning, architecture, capacity planning, or
engineering.
- Experience
working with cross-functional teams, particularly Commercial/Sales,
Engineering, Operations, and Project teams.
- Experience
engaging customers and presenting technical solutions.
- Experience
working with technology vendors and solution partners is an advantage.

We are looking to recruit hardworking Assistant Technicians
to assist in activities involving splicing fiber optic cables in both outdoor
and indoor settings, read, create and maintain splicing schematics and
diagrams, maintain control of outside plant activities surrounding the assigned
work site(s), taking and maintaining accurate splicing and field notes and
support project timelines.
ASSISTANT SPLICING TECHNICIAN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide
ground assistance to technician to fibre splicing to construct a proper
splice case, including but not limited to: grounding, bonding, isolation,
slack storage and sealing.
- Assist
the splicing technician in performing routine maintenance.
- Assist
in record keeping of the network infrastructure.
- Liaison
with the other technical departments to provide technical support and
resolve issues on the network.
- Maintain
site safety by eliminating hazards and or reporting any hazards prior to
commencing works.
- Maintain
cleanliness and safety of tools given to the team
- Any
other responsibilities as may be assigned to you from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ASSISTANT SPLICING TECHNICIAN JOB
- Diploma/Certificate
in a Telecom, Electrical Engineering, IT or any related field
- Minimum
D+ at secondary school education with a pass in Maths and English
- Technical
aptitude in electrical and telecommunication infrastructure.
- Good
analytical skills.
- Experience
in a technical role preferred.
Splicing Technician JTL-ME-ST-06-25 | Engineering | Contract
We are looking to recruit a Splicing Technician to splice
fiber optic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings, read, create and
maintain splicing schematics and diagrams. Maintain control of outside plant
activities surrounding the assigned work site(s), taking and
maintaining accurate splicing and field notes and support project timelines.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SPLICING TECHNICIAN ROLE
- Fiber
splicing to construct a proper splice case, including but not limited to,
grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing.
- Troubleshoot
and perform routine maintenance.
- Rehabilitate
the network including tensioning cables, replacement of manhole covers and
cable recovery.
- Record
keeping of the cable network infrastructure.
- Liaison
with the other technical departments to provide technical support and
resolve issues on the network.
- Checking
and advising on the environmental issues in the nodes in their area
- Maintain
site safety by eliminating hazards and/or reporting any hazards prior to
commencing works.
- Carry
out onsite survey/scoping for cases requiring network changes and routing
and challenging them to the Regional Manager to raise associated PM
orders.
- Any
other responsibilities as may be assigned to you from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SPLICING TECHNICIAN ROLE
- Minimum
Diploma in Electronics, telecommunications, or related field.
- Four
(4) years working experience in a network maintenance role At least 2
years’ experience working in sales is highly desirable.
- Technical
aptitude in electrical and telecommunication infrastructure.
- Good
analytical skills.
