AQA Officer – Strategic Management at Zetech University

Job Description

Job Objective

To support and enhance the quality of academic programs and services by ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in monitoring and evaluating academic programs and courses to ensure they meet institutional quality standards.
Supporting the AQA Manager in conducting regular reviews of academic processes and outcomes
Analysing data related to student performance, feedback, and academic quality.
Ensuring academic programs and courses are in compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
Assisting in preparing documentation for accreditation processes and quality audits.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education Management, Curriculum Development, Total Quality Management, Management Science, Operations Management or a relevant field from an accredited University. A Master’s degree in the listed fields will be an added advantage.
A professional qualification or other qualification in Quality Management;
At least (3) years experience in teaching, administration of academics or student customer service.
Membership in a relevant and recognised professional body.
Good understanding of the Universities Act, CUE standards and guidelines, TIVETA and other relevant regulatory body standards and guidelines;
Familiarity with the development, implementation and management of Curriculum from Diploma to PhD Level;

AI Orchestration Engineer – Computer Science at Zetech University

Job Description

Job Objective

Operating at the intersection of AI innovation and institutional operations, and reporting to the IT Manager, the role will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities

Architect and implement orchestration pipelines that connect multiple AI models, internal APIs, and University databases, while integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards to standardise how AI agents interact with tools, APIs, and data sources across the University’s technology ecosystem.
Design and implement multimodal AI pipelines capable of processing text, images, audio, and documents to support diverse University use cases.
Develop and maintain a knowledge graph layer integrated with RAG pipelines to enhance contextual reasoning over interconnected University data.
Deploy and manage on-premise or edge inference solutions for data-sensitive workflows where University data must not leave institutional infrastructure.
Implement AI safety, security, and guardrail frameworks to enforce output validation, prevent prompt-injection attacks, and ensure AI responses meet institutional and ethical standards.
Design multi-agent systems where different AI agents handle specialised tasks.
Develop sophisticated prompt strategies and \”chain of thought\” routines to ensure AI agents perform complex reasoning tasks reliably.
Partner with University administrators and faculty to understand high-friction manual workflows that could be automated.

A strong portfolio or GitHub repository demonstrating work with RAG pipelines, agentic systems, or complex AI orchestrations.
Experience working in an agile/scrum environment is mandatory.

Departmental Coordinator at Zetech University

Job Objective

To provide effective administrative and academic coordination within the department by supporting the implementation of academic programmes, managing student-related processes, and ensuring smooth execution of departmental activities in alignment with the University’s operational and quality standards. Reporting to the Head of Department – ICT & Engineering.

Duties and responsibilities

Monitoring class attendance of both staff and students in Nairobi City Campus.
Creation of classes in the system and workload allocation.
Overseeing examinations and processing of examination marks.
Taking disciplinary action related to class attendance.
Follow up on Zetech Digital School audit reports and prepare departmental action item checklists.
Overseeing end-to-end industrial attachment and semesterly students projects.
Assisting in preparing and managing the departmental examination invigilation timetable.
Handling escalated examination issues from Departmental Administrators.
Providing secretarial support in departmental academic meetings, such as examination moderation.
Coordinating student mentorship and academic advisory activities.
Coordinating academic trips.
Liaising with technicians and lecturers on the operation of kitchens, workshops, and related facilities.
Reporting on assigned areas.

Qualification and experience

Holds a Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics or other related field from an accredited University.
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics or other related field from an accredited University.
Registered or registrable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral Degree qualification and progressing.
At least 3 years post-qualification work experience.
Demonstrable people management skills is an added advantage.
Must have demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience.
Be registered or registerable with a relevant professional body.
Capable of working independently and committed to working collaboratively with a range of colleagues from across the university.
