CIFOR-ICRAF is looking for a Human Development Assistant
Overview
Under the supervision of the Senior Human Development
Officer, this position provides crucial daily operation support for GRS
recruitment and contracts like assisting with recruitment (posting jobs,
scheduling interviews), coordinating orientation/probation/separation, contract
management, staff records management, and acting as a point of contact for GRS
contract inquiries, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy across all HD
functions. While ensuring that delivery of services is done with high quality,
accuracy and consistency with HD policies and procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
Recruitment and Orientation:
- Advertising
& placement – upload approved adverts onto the CIFOR-ICRAF recruitment
platform.
- Download
applications arranging them in an easier way for longlisting. Proposed at
least 20 applications as the initial longlist for SHDO review.
- Track
and update the recruitment tracker of the recruitment process to ensure
real-time overview of the recruitment process.
- Assist
in preparation of interview documents, sending invitations and providing
for all logistical requirements to ensure the smooth running of
interviews.
On boarding of new staff:

Overview
The Program Manager, Communities and Action oversee the GLFx
and GLF Youth global teams to ensure the successful design, planning and
delivery of community-led programs and activities toward the achievement of
donors’ deliverables and broad long-term GLF objectives. The Program Manager,
Communities and Action will provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure
the expansion, delivery, and visibility of the GLFx and Youth teams while
ensuring broader alignment across GLF teams, existing and new grant proposals,
goals and strategy as well as the broader CIFOR-ICRAF.
The Program Manager, Communities and Action will play a
critical role in providing oversight particularly in the strategic development
and growth of the GLFx initiative and relevant programs, 50+ GLFx Chapters,
annual 5+ Restoration Stewards and the alumni network, targeted to enabling
local actors across the regions of Latin America and the Caribbeans, Africa,
Asia and the Pacific, and Europe. Considering the ambitious objectives of the
GLFx innovation and its strengthening stage, the Program Manager will ensure
internal alignment on key strategic questions, both within the GLFx team and
across the wider organization and innovations, with the objective of
identifying clear processes and approaches for further program growth and
development. At the same time, the Program Manager will provide guidance on
strategic partnerships and collaborations, develop proposals, manage budgets,
and manage donors and key stakeholders’ relationships for improving GLF’s
global role in accelerating action on the ground. The Program Manager will also

Overview
To provide support to the Senior Training Officers in the
coordination of AWARD’s planned virtual and in person courses, ensuring the
smooth planning, delivery and follow-up of high-quality training activities,
with a focus on anglophone participants and specific deliverables.
Duties and responsibilities
Seamlessly coordinate AWARD training activities for its
fellowship programs and partner institutions in fulfilment of AWARD’s mandate
by undertaking the following:
- Timely

- Master’s

of 5 years of relevant experience within research projects, NGOs, or
international organizations with a clear focus on food system
transformation and/or agroecology. Thorough knowledge and understanding of
agroecology, including its social and social-movement dimensions is a key
asset for this position.
- Good
connection with key stakeholder involved in agroecological networks and
platforms in Kenya is crucial. Previous working experience in holistic
approaches to measuring agroecology and its performance is mandatory.
Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant at World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF)
Duties and responsibilities
- This
consultancy contract will facilitate the review of policy, existing
M&E frameworks, and data landscape, which will inform the development
and alignment of TAPE+ National and the NAS M&E framework, ensuring
they reflect national priorities, align with existing frameworks at
national and county levels, and leverage current data collection efforts.
- Political
feasibility assessment and political economy analysis, exploring
government priorities, stakeholder interests, and potential socioeconomic
impacts of incremental agroecological transitions. This analysis will
identify key levers to support food system transformation and priority
research questions to be addressed through TAPE+ National. These questions
will be co-developed with the technical multi-actor task force and inform
TAPE+ National survey adaptation and selection of a target population.

Overview
The Programme/MEL Coordinator will undertake significant
responsibilities across all centre projects, guided by their line manager.
Responsibilities include supporting project management delivery with a focus on
monitoring, reporting, evaluation, accountability and learning (MREAL) for
projects and programmes, including support financial planning, reports
coherence etc., supporting meetings and developing the related action plans
(ensuring that staff complies with the actions), contributing to inter-disciplinary

The Senior Accountant – Countries Accounting will:

journals and reconciliations for countries without a finance focal point.

Duties and responsibilities
Assist in the accurate recording and review of
CIFOR-ICRAF’s countries’ financial transactions:
- Journalize
payroll costs and other adjustments as they arise.
- Assist
in recording financial transactions for CIFOR-ICRAF countries whose
finance unit has an identifiable gap.
- Assist
in reviewing supporting documentation for payments made in various country
offices ensuring completeness and accuracy; and recording of these
transactions in the financial system affecting both bank and petty cash.
- Perform
an initial review of the transactions journalized by Country
Accountants/Officers before posting.
- Follow-up
to ensure returns for countries without access to OCS are provided at
least weekly to avoid bulking of transactions at the end of the month.
- Follow-up
on balance sheet reconciliations liaising with the Country
Accountants/Officers and ensure the balances are up to date.
Assurance of correctness and accuracy of CIFOR-ICRAF’s
countries’ financial transactions:
- Reviewing
and posting of all payment journals; ensuring due diligence is observed
while processing the accounting journals.
- Providing
the required assurance that all accounting entries passed in the general
ledger are free of any material misstatements.
- Ensuring
proper accruals are done and subsequently cleared.
- Post
payment run confirming the accuracy of the amounts, currency, bank code in
the financial system as well as the bank details of the payee.
- Ensure
payments are processed within the stipulated KPI.
Country accounting oversight:
- Carry
out periodic compliance reviews of country office finance operations for
the allocated countries.
- Provide
support and capacity building to country office staff to ensure adherence
to CIFOR_ICRAF or hosting organization policies.

countries to transition to fully using the CIFOR-ICRAF systems.
