JOB PURPOSE
This cadre will be responsible for providing support
services in transport logistics, office management, outsourced services, asset
inventory and other related support services to the organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Identifying
proper office accommodation of staff within the Authority;
- Monitoring
the movement of equipment;
- Ensuring
office machines are serviceable;
- Implementing
renewal of insurance policies/visas/transport Licensing Board
certificates;
- Ensuring
the maintenance of the Authority’s assets; and signing of vehicle work
tickets;
- Supervising
administration staff including drivers and office assistants;
- Ensuring
maintenance of office equipment and machines;
- Monitoring
the location and movement of equipment;

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Cumulative
service period of three (3) years relevant work experience in the grade of
Administration Officer II or in comparable position in the Public or
Private sector;
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Public/Business Administration, Office Management, and Social
Science or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency
in computer applications; and
- Shown
merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Senior Assistant Office Administrator at the Social Health Authority (SHA)
JOB PURPOSE
The Office Administrative Officers are responsible for
ensuring an organization’s operations run smoothly by effectively managing
calendars, handling communication, and maintaining office records.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Taking
oral dictation;
- Using
e-office to research and process data;

office equipment;
- Attending
to visitors/clients;
- Handling
telephone calls;

rooms and conference facilities;

(9) years cumulative experience, three (3) years of which should have been
at the grade of Assistant Office Administrator I or in a comparable
position in the Public or Private sector;
- Holds
Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations
Council (KNEC)/recognized institution;
- Membership
to a relevant professional body in good standing;
- Proficiency
in computer applications; and

Corporation Secretary/Head of Legal Services at The Social Health Authority (SHA)
The Social Health Authority (SHA) is a State Corporation
established under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023 and mandated to provide
financial risk protection for Kenyan residents by facilitating equitable access
to quality healthcare. SHA is responsible for administering the Social Health
Insurance Fund, Primary Healthcare Fund, and Emergency, Chronic, and Critical
Illness Fund in collaboration with stakeholders. To enhance institutional
capacity and deliver on its mandate, SHA Board seeks to recruit visionary,

JOB PURPOSE
The Board Management and Legal Services office shall be
responsible for providing Board Secretarial and related services to the Board
of Directors, advice to the Board and management and ensuring effective and
efficient management of contracts agreements, Memoranda of Understanding
(MoUs), as well as compliance with policy, legal and regulatory framework.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assisting
the Chief Executive Officer in providing secretariat services to the
Board;
- Providing
Guidance to the Board on their roles and responsibilities and on matters
of governance;
- Assisting
the Board in Carrying out Board induction and training, Updating the Board
and Committee Charters, Preparation of Board work plans, Board Evaluation,
Governance Audit and Implementation of the Code of Conduct and Ethics;
- Ensuring
Timely preparation and Circulation of Board and Committee papers and
Minutes;
- Be the
Custodian of the Seal of the Organization and Account to the Board for its
use;
- Maintaining
and updating the register for conflict of interest;
- Ensuring
Board Members are aware of all the relevant laws affecting the
organization;
- Ensuring
that annual returns are promptly filed with relevant authorities;
- Arranging
the business of the Board’s meetings, keeping records of the proceedings
of the Board and performing other duties as the Board may direct;
- Providing
advice on legal and corporate matters to the Board through interpretation
and writing legal opinions;
- Coordinating
and ensuring representation of the Authority in courts or other judicial
authorities;
- Drafting
and reviewing Leases, Contracts, Licensing Frameworks, Service Level
Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, leases and other legal documents
to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and the Authority’s
policies;
- Liaising
with the Attorney General, law enforcement agencies and stakeholders on
all legal matters;
- Ensuring
that Legal Audit Compliance is carried out to confirm compliance with relevant
statutory requirements;
- Overseeing
the implementation of Mwongozo, the Code of Conduct at the Authority;
- Formulating,
drafting and facilitating gazettement of declared and suspended
facilities, Rules, Regulations and Directives issued by the Authority;
- Participating
in the formulation and development of the Authority’s Strategic plan
including monitoring and evaluating the implementation of work plans
relating to the formulation of an enabling legal and regulatory framework
aimed at protecting member contributions;
- Provide
technical leadership and strategic direction in the development,
implementation and evaluation of professional legal services; and
- Protect
SHA rights and privileges and interest in intellectual property and other
product innovation(s).
Responsibilities:

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Holds
bachelor’s degree in law from a university recognized in Kenya;
- Is an
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
- Has at
least five years’ experience as a Corporation Secretary or a similar
governance role;
- Is a
member in good standing of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries
of Kenya;
- Membership
in the Law Society of Kenya (LSK);
- Proficiency
in computer applications; and
- Meets
the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
