Office Assistant
Basic Salary
- Scale
KFC10: 16,000 to 31,000 P.M
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Delivering
mails and postage and maintaining delivery register;
- Carrying
out photocopying and document binding;
- Preparing
tea and serving officers;
- Carrying
out cleaning of offices, office compound and machines/equipment/apparatus;
- Collecting
and disposing waste;
- Dusting
offices and ensuring habitable office conditions; and
- Moving
or carrying office equipment, furniture and ensuring orderly arrangement
offices.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –
- Cumulative
service period of six (6) years’ relevant work experience three (3) of
which should have been in the grade of Office Assistant II or comparable
position;
- Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Education Certificate mean grade D (Plain) or any
other equivalent qualification;
- Proficiency
in computer applications; and
- Shown
merit and ability as reflected in work performance and result
INTEGRITY CLEARANCE:

candidates will be required to provide copies of clearance certificates from
the following;
- Ethics
and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
- Criminal
Investigation Department (CID).
- Kenya

Manager, Production Liaison and Coordination at Kenya Film Commission
Basic Salary
- Scale
KFC 3: 149,500 to 206,400 P.M
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, job holder will
provide overall management and coordination of the Liaison Department. The job
holder will also be responsible for:
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Coordinating
the development, implementation and review of production and liaison
services, policies, strategies, guidelines, standards and procedures.
- Supervising
the planning, forecast and monitoring of the department’s expenditure
against allocated production and liaison budgets and activities.
- Guiding
the establishment of incubation centers for the film industry in Kenya.
- Coordinating
the development and strengthening of effective collaborations with county,
national and international organizations, both public and private, to
improve and facilitate the growth of the film industry.
- Coordinating
the creation of international partnerships, agreements and coproduction
treaties for the film industry.
- Establishing
linkages with county, national, international organizations and other
relevant stakeholders to improve and facilitate investment in the film
industry;
- Spearheading
the development and implementation of sound risk management framework,
business continuity plans and corporate governance activities of the
directorate to ensure sustainability;
- Monitoring
and keeping abreast of changing trends in film production and exploring
new opportunities for location services; and
- Liaising
with Corporate Communications and ICT Departments to update the Commission
website.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –
- Cumulative
service period of fifteen (15) years’ relevant work experience, three (3)
of which must have been in the grade of an Assistant Manager, Production
Liaison and Coordination, or in an equivalent and comparable position;
- Bachelor’s
degree in any of the following disciplines: – Film and Theatre Arts, Film
Production, Drama and Theatres Studies, Performing Arts and Film
Technology, Communication, Animation, Gaming or equivalent qualification
from a recognized institution
- Master’s
degree in Film and Theatre Arts, Film Production, Drama and Theatres
Studies, Performing Arts and Film Technology, Communication, Animation,
Gaming or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Certificate
in leadership course (SLDP) lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a
recognized institution;
- Membership
to a relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing;
- A
Valid Practicing Licenses, where applicable;
- Proficiency
in computer applications; and
- Demonstrated
a high degree of professional competence, managerial and
administrative

Film Development Officer II at Kenya Film Commission
Film Development Officer II
Basic Salary
- Scale
KFC 8: 33,500 to 56,000 P.M
This is the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at this
level will work under the guidance of a designated supervisor. The job holder
will also be responsible for:
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Identifying
film studios and facility houses;
- Collecting
and compiling data on factors influencing film-makers in their choice of
destinations for production and post-production services;
- Identifying
suitable locations for film shooting;
- Compiling
information on available production facilities, location, crew and
shooting spaces; and
- Collecting
data on changing trends in film production and exploring new opportunities
for location services
- Support
the processing of filming permits and other documentation.
- Maintain
records and databases of productions, locations, and stakeholders.
- Assist
with the preparation of reports, briefs, and presentations for internal or
external use.
- Assist
in film production coordination by providing logistical support to local
and international filmmakers.
- Help
in scouting and facilitating access to locations for shoots.
- Ensure
compliance with local regulations and film permit requirements.
- Act as
a point of contact between filmmakers and local authorities (e.g., police,
county officials, tourism offices).
