Job Description
Role Purpose
The Performance Management Intern will be responsible for
monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the performance of Loan Officers on a
weekly basis. The role focuses on tracking route planning, daily activities,
and pipeline health and portfolio management to ensure optimal productivity,
accountability, and alignment with organizational targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Route Planning Oversight
- Review
and monitor Loan Officers’ weekly and daily route plans to ensure
efficiency and proper territory coverage.
- Ensure
alignment between planned routes and business priorities (target clients,
high-potential areas, etc.).
- Identify
gaps, inefficiencies, or deviations in route execution and provide
recommendations.
- Follow
up with Loan Officers to confirm adherence to approved route plans.
2. Loan Officers’ Activity Monitoring
- Track
daily and weekly activities of Loan Officers (client visits, calls,
meetings, follow-ups).
- Analyze
productivity levels against set KPIs and targets.
- Conduct
periodic check-ins (calls or messages) with Loan Officers to verify
activity reports.
- Flag
underperformance or inconsistencies and escalate where necessary.
- Support
Loan Officers with performance insights and improvement recommendations.
3. Pipeline Management
- Monitor
the loan pipeline from lead generation to disbursement.
- Track
key metrics such as:
- Number
of leads generated
- Applications
submitted
- Approvals
and disbursements
- Conversion
rates
- Identify
bottlenecks and delays in the pipeline and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure
data accuracy and timely updates in the system.
4. Portfolio Management & Collections
- Monitor
and analyze the quality of the loan portfolio managed by Loan Officers,
with a focus on arrears, defaults, and collections performance.
- Track
key metrics such as:
- Portfolio
at Risk (PAR) – PAR30
- Arrears
aging and delinquency trends
- Collections
and recovery rates
- Identify
early warning signs of portfolio deterioration and proactively flag
high-risk accounts or segments..
5. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare
and circulate weekly performance reports covering:
- Individual
Loan Officer performance
- Team
productivity trends
- Pipeline
status and movement
- Develop
dashboards or trackers to provide real-time visibility of performance
metrics.
- Provide
insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve
performance.
6. Performance Follow-Up & Engagement
- Conduct
follow-up calls with Loan Officers to clarify performance gaps or
discrepancies.
- Support
supervisors in implementing performance improvement actions.
- Assist
in identifying Loan Officers who may require coaching or performance
improvement plans (PIPs).
7. Compliance & Process Adherence
- Ensure
Loan Officers adhere to internal processes, reporting standards, and
operational guidelines.
- Highlight
any non-compliance or irregularities in activities or reporting.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Propose
and implement improvements to performance tracking tools and processes.
- Support
the development of KPIs and performance frameworks for Loan Officers.
- Participate
in performance review meetings and provide actionable insights.

in Loan Officers’ productivity and conversion rates

efficiency (reduced bottlenecks and turnaround time)

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s
degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2–4
years’ experience in performance management, sales operations, or
credit/lending environment
- Strong
analytical and reporting skills
- Experience
working with sales teams or field agents is an added advantage
