Alumni Liaison & Partnerships Officer at Boma International Hospitality College
JOB SUMMARY:
You will manage alumni relations and leverage alumni
networks to support student mentorship, internships/attachments, career
opportunities, and institutional partnerships through structured engagement,
communication, and opportunity sourcing.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop,
maintain, and continuously update a comprehensive alumni database
(contacts, employment status, sector, location, engagement history).
- Build
and implement an alumni engagement plan that supports mentorship, career
talks, guest lectures, and student opportunity pipelines.
- Mobilize
alumni to share internship/attachment and job opportunities; maintain a
structured process for receiving and validating alumni referrals.
- Coordinate
alumni events and engagement activities including networking sessions, career
forums, and alumni recognition initiatives (in collaboration with the
career services team).
- Strengthen
alumni involvement in institutional development initiatives (industry
linkages, sponsorships, advisory support, curriculum feedback, brand
advocacy).
- Act as
a functional link between alumni, students, and industry partners to
enable mentoring matches, referrals, and collaboration.
- Prepare
alumni engagement reports, success stories, and impact summaries for
internal communication and management reporting.
- Manage
alumni communication channels and cadence (e.g., newsletters, platforms,
alumni groups) to maintain consistent engagement.
- Any
other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s
Degree International Relations, Public Relations, Business management,
Marketing or equivalent.
- Two
(2) years’ experience at an Institution of Higher learning
- Demonstrate
continuing professional development
- A deep
understanding of, commitment to and involvement in hospitality Industry
- Extensive
knowledge in ICT and experience of education, higher Education and the
issues and challenges facing the sector.
