2026 Mentorship & Internship Programme at ICON Data and Learning Labs (IDL)
ICON Data and Learning Labs (IDL) Africa is launching the
second cohort of its 2026 Mentorship & Internship Programme, a strategic
investment in building Africa’s implementation research and data talent
pipeline. The programme offers applied learning, structured mentorship, and
direct engagement with high-impact data-for-development initiatives. We invite
applications from students currently enrolled in university or those who have
completed coursework and are awaiting graduation. Successful candidates will
collaborate with IDL’s programme and technical teams, accelerate market-ready
skills, and embed themselves in a growing community of emerging African data
leaders.
IDL is offering three mentorship/internship positions across
key thematic areas:
- Finance
Intern – 1 Position
- Data
Literacy Interns – 2 Positions
- Data
Tech Incubation Intern – 1 Position
Programme Duration: 13 January – 13 April 2026
Location: Hybrid (Kisumu-based preferred)
