Samburu Research Centre Internship Opportunity at Save the Elephants
Internship period:
March, June and September 2026 – Applicants must specify
which track they are applying for.
Application window:
November 1 – December 31, 2025.
Eligibility:
- This
opportunity is open to Kenyan students with a BSc in
Zoology, Botany, Environmental Sciences, GIS, or a Diploma in Wildlife
Management/Conservation from WRTI (or equivalent).
- Applicants
must have at least one previous experience in fieldwork,
including as part of their academic training.
- Previous
attachment and/or internship with another conservation organization is a
bonus.
Skills
- English
proficiency.
- Experience
with scientific writing in English (e.g. BSc project).
- Good
knowledge of Excel and of the Microsoft Office package.
- Ability
to conduct basic statistics and produce graphs in Excel.
- Preferable:
basic knowledge of GIS environments.
- Preferable:
basic knowledge of softwares for statistical analysis.
