Under the overall guidance and supervision of the DRR (O)
and the direct guidance and supervision of the Operations Manager, the
Procurement and Logistics Intern ensures support to the Procurement and
Transport Unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of this internship is to provide an opportunity
for graduate-level students to enhance their educational experience through
practical work. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following
tasks:
- Assisting
with Procurement Processes: Support the procurement team by following
established procedures and guidelines.
- Supplier
roster: Support on the establishment of a supplier rosters for goods
and service.
- Documentation
and Categorization: Create and maintain organized records for all
procurement submissions.
- Digital
Record Management: Organize and maintain digital records related to
procurement activities.
- Office
Support: Contribute to daily office duties and tasks as needed.
- Additional
Activities: Provide support for any other procurement-related
activities as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
Applicants at the time of application, applicants must meet
one of the following
- Currently
pursuing or recently completed a degree in Procurement, or a related
field. (such as a master’s programme, or higher) or completed Degree not
more than one Year during the application
- Be
enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme
(such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
- Have
recently graduated with a university degree and if selected, must start
the internship within one-year of graduation.
Experience:
- Working
experience in procurement and/or Logistics is an asset but not required.
- Proficient
with managing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, databases and any ERP systems.

Intern – Data Analyst /Software Engineer at UNDP
Background
In today’s digital environment, the ability to collect,
manage, and analyze data is critical to ensuring efficiency, transparency, and
strategic decision-making. As part of its digital transformation strategy, UNDP
Kenya is investing in improving its ICT capabilities, with a focus on
data-driven operations, reporting, and service delivery.
The ICT Department plays a central role in supporting the
organization’s information systems, technology infrastructure, and data
management frameworks. With the increasing volume and complexity of data
generated from operational, programmatic, and administrative activities, there
is a need for dedicated analytical capacity to support evidence-based planning
and performance monitoring.
UNDP Kenya seeks to recruit a Data Analyst Intern/Software
Engineer to enhance the extraction of meaningful insights from internal and
external datasets, develop visual dashboards using tools like Power BI,
and support data quality assurance and governance efforts. This role will help
bridge the gap between technical data handling and decision-making,
contributing directly to more informed strategy and operations across the
organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Under
the supervision of the Head of ICT and in close collaboration with the
ICT/Finance/Procurement and HR team, the intern will:
- Support
the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards and
reports.
- Assist
in cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data to generate actionable
insights.
- Contributes
to the automation and optimization of reporting processes.
- Connect
to multiple data sources (Excel, SQL databases, APIs, cloud services,
etc.).
- Build
interactive dashboards and reports using:(Charts (bar, line, pie, Tables
and matrices, Slicers and filters, Maps and KPIs)
- Design
for user experience: consistent layout, intuitive navigation, color
themes.
- Schedule
data refreshes via Power BI Service.
- Provide
general administrative and ICT support to the ICT unit as required.
Expected Outputs:

and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.

and well-documented datasets.

Intern – Partnership Support at UNDP
Background
UNDP Country Programme in Kenya aims to strengthen
democratic governance, community resilience and promote inclusive sustainable
development aligned with UNDP’s Corporate Strategic Plan 2022-2026, the United
Nations Development Assistance Framework for Kenya, and the global Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs). To achieve this, fully aligned with Kenya’s national
priorities, UNDP provides support to national and county-level development

Governance, Peace and Security; and Inclusive Growth. Throughout UNDP’s

Background and Context
The UNDP Kenya Country Programme (2022–2026) supports the
Government of Kenya to strengthen democratic governance, promote peace and
inclusive growth, and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The
programme emphasizes gender equality, youth inclusion, and leaving no one
behind. UNDP works with national and county governments, civil society, and
development partners to implement projects that promote resilience, reduce
inequality, and improve service delivery. Interns are engaged to support documentation,
knowledge sharing, and programme implementation. This internship is an
opportunity for a motivated university student to gain exposure to
international development work, especially in governance, peace, security, and
inclusive development
Under the direct supervision of the project lead working on
enhancing inclusive governance processes within the Governance and Inclusive
Growth (GIG) Unit, the intern will play an active role in advancing inclusive
governance processes, with a focus on promoting meaningful youth participation
in policy, decision-making, and civic life. The role will provide direct
support to flagship initiatives such as the UN Joint Programme on Youth and
the project Advancing Inclusive Governance – Empowering Youth Voices.
The intern will contribute to both online and offline engagement strategies,
leveraging civic technology tools and innovative outreach methods to strengthen
youth involvement in governance. This includes supporting policy and practice
reforms to enhance and sustain youth participation, fostering partnerships with
civil society and community-based organizations, and assisting in the design
and delivery of capacity-building sessions for youth leaders. The intern will
also help develop communication and advocacy materials, contribute to knowledge
products that capture best practices, and coordinate with implementing partners
