ENT Clinical Officer at St. Theresa’s Mission Hospital
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct
consultations and clinical assessments for patients presenting with
ENT-related symptoms.
- Diagnose
and treat ENT related conditions.
- Conduct
inpatients reviews for post-operative and other patients who may be in
need of ENT review.
- Perform
and interpret diagnostic procedures e.g., audiometry, endoscopy,
tympanometry.
- Prepare,
carry out minor surgical procedures and assist in major surgeries when
required.
- Prescribe
medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide
patient education and counseling on preventive and post-treatment care.
- Maintain
accurate, timely, and confidential medical records.
- Collaborate
with audiologists, speech therapists, general practitioners, and other
specialists.
- Participate
in clinical audits, research, and continuous professional development
activities.
- Actively
participate in ENT departmental budget preparation and sustain set targets
in terms of patient’s numbers.
- Actively
participate in organizing and conducting ENT outreach screening services.
- Perform
any other duties may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/BSC
in clinical medicine
- Mandatory
one-year internship
- Higher
Diploma in ENT
- Two
years of working experience
